A pair of sterling silver screw back earrings in a mid century modernist design. We have seen only one other pair in almost the exact design signed Ed Wiener. Constructed of a layer of oxidized sterling with a contrasting polished curved sterling wire overlay.
The earrings measure 1 1/4" high and 7/8" across and hold securely. They are marked with Sterling, hand wrought and a partial W in a triangle. The screw part is marked Sterling.

A superb vintage sterling and blue gem turquoise suite consisting of a matching bracelet, ring and brooch by master Navajo silversmith Fred Peshlakai. Magnificent, rare vintage sterling and coral circular shaped petit point ring by Zuni Edith Tsatbetsaye , circa 1970. Many silversmiths created petit point pieces, but this silversmith took the art to an extreme. This ring is set with semicircular high domed and arched stones, this cut being her trademark. The ring is a size 7 and measures 1 1/8" by 1 1/8". Weighing 12 grams, it is in fine original condition. There are no missing stones and no chips or cracks to any stone. Signed as shown...
A very cool Gucci sterling adjustable bracelet circa 1970. It can basically fit any wrist from approximately 6" to 8" by simply pushing in or out on the bracelet knots. Weighing 47 grams, it is in fine original condition and signed as shown. What a fun piece !

The brooch measures 1 1/2" high and almost 1 1/2" at the widest. Marked Made in Mexico Sterling, Margot de Taxco and 5384. Also marked with Eagle #16.
The clasp holds securely. In very fine condition with only minor tarnish. The enameling is vibrant.

The Deco year saw an influx of gorgeous jewelry out of China in which, more often than not, contemporary silver work was combined with antique elements like carved semi-precious stone buttons, medallions and even mah-jhong and other game pieces. A vintage sterling silver Palm Tree brooch by Frederick Davis. This early version has an unusual 'C' clasp with a locking hinge to hold the pin in place.
Signed with the impressed conjoined FD. Pre Eagle, (pre 1949).
Measures 1 3/4" across and 2 1/8" high. Weighs 24 gr. The brooch has a warm patina with a little tarnish. The tip of the pin is slightly curved to prevent you from sticking yourself.

A vintage modernist sterling silver necklace, #285 by Hans Hansen, Denmark, with teardrop shaped gilded dangles. This design is difficult to find.
Measures about 16 1/2" around, the curvature of the long links makes it difficult to get an exact measurement. Better for a slender neck. The drops are 1 1/2" long.
Marked with script Hans Hansen, Denmark, 285 and 925S. Hook clasp holds securely. Weighs 53 gr.

Choice of 2 pair of sterling silver clip earrings by Georg Jensen, a floral design #36 or a spiral one, #102.
The floral pair measure 5/8" across. The spiral pair are 3/4" across and 1/2" high. Both pair are marked Georg Jensen in a dotted oval, 925S Denmark, and 36 and style 102 respectively. The spiral earrings were designed by Arno Malinowski.
No need to have pierced ears, they have clips which hold securely. The floral clips swivel and the spiral clips are the hinge style...
An absolutely splendid vintage sterling, 14k and deep red coral cuff bracelet by Frank Patania Jr. It comes with its original box with the Frank Patania Thunderbird logo on it. Measuring 5 3/4" around in the inside plus an additional 1" opening, it is 1" wide and weighs 84 grams. It is in fine original condition and signed a shown. Mid-century silver and amethyst ring by Mexican Master silversmith Antonio Pineda. One of his very recognizable designs, perhaps you are fortunate and have the necklace, bracelet or earrings that match this ring. It is a size 5 1/2 - 6, weighs 11 grams, and is in fine original condition. There are no chips or cracks to the amethysts. There are inclusions under the surface of the stones as typical of amethyst. Signed as shown. Everything Antonio Pineda created is a masterpiece.
Alberto Contreras Sr. was trained by master silversmith Frank Patania Sr. in the late 1940's and employed at the Patania Thuderbird Shop in Santa Fe. Their work was heavily influenced by the Native American jewelers that worked with them. These beautiful clip back sterling and turquoise earrings feature a striking Modernist design with great stones. They measure 1"by1" and weigh 16 grams total. They are in fine original condition and signed as shown. Love the look !
Pictured in the book "Mexican Silver Masters" by Penny Morrill on page 40, plate I-55 is this lovely and unique bracelet by Hector Aguilar. Circa 1945-1950 it features a deep purple oval Amethyst cabochon stone on the clasp with fancy and ornate silver wire links. It measures 7 1/2" long by 3/4" at the widest and weighs 42.3 grams. The hallmark is blurred but the HA mono is clear, a partial mark reads "Ster" and the rest appears to be "Hecho en Mexico"...

This massive cuff by Antonio Pineda features a design inspired by the French cave of Lascaux. He made several items with this design which can be found in the book "Silver Seductions" on page 141. This is a stunning necklace with a timeless elegance by the famous and highly sought after Fred Davis. It's been a while since I presented a piece by Gerardo Lopez but he is one of my favorite Taxco maestros, a talented silversmith and designer who excelled in the art of repoussage.
