This mid-century necklace from Antonio Pineda is an absolutely spectacular showpiece.
It's composed of obsidian and silver, both in 5 point diamond shapes, which form a "V" in the front center. There is a pearl offset on the left front. This lovely sterling silver pin is a classic example of the Japanisme influence popular during the Aesthetic Movement of the late 19th century. It features embossed images of a dragonfly and two delicate plants as well as tiny marks emulating Asian characters, all on an irregular-shaped disk. Made by George W. Shiebler of New York City, the molding is sharp and detailed; it does appear to have a secure rollover clasp that would have replaced the original C-clasp...
This modernist, geo brooch measures just over 1 3/4" x 1" (at widest point). It is concave and incised with 3 line borders. The back is hallmarked GD & Co (for Gustav Dahlgren & Co.), M (city mark for Malmo), then, the Swedish National triple crown hallmark, S (in hexagon, indicating 830 silver or higher) and K9 for 1960. The back is also signed what looks like Gillgren in script. It is in great condition.
A stunning cast sterling necklace with four amethyst arrowhead shaped carved stones. Measuring 16 1/2" (42 cm) long, the central sterling pieces are 1 1/2"
(4.1 cm) x 1 1/8" (3.2 cm) and the two side pieces are 1 1/8" (3.2 cm) in each direction. The amethyst pieces measure 1 3/8" (3.9 cm) X 5/8" (2 cm), including the sterling caps. It's an exquisitely crafted piece with superb repoussé silver work. Very substantial and dimensional. The amethyst cabochons are well-matched in color. Closure is a pin on a chain .
Measures a closed, wearable length of 6 3/4", with a width just shy of 1 1/2".
Hallmarked simply "Mexico Silver".

A double row of petals composed of gilded sterling silver and enameled in deep red adds a bit of drama to this late-1960s flower pin. A cross-hatch grid pattern of guilloche work under the enamel enhances the design. There is a secure rollover clasp on the back, with a maker’s mark of a crown and marks for sterling and Norway. Very cute and sporting quite an obsidian sheen is this rather large 2 inches long and 1 inch wide beetle brooch. Hallmarked as shown with an early eagle 3. The weight is 14 grams. Very well made and a perfect gift or just for yourself!

This substantial necklace is composed of sterling silver cable chain decorated with applied, loose rings of twisted sterling wire. Each chain link has two rings attached to it, completing a sophisticated and intelligent design that evokes flexibility and movement. The necklace has a secure spring-ring clasp, and bears a flat link with the number 950 or 930 for silver content and what looks like L37. Unclasped, it measures 38 ½ inches long. This wonderful 1940's, Mexican necklace consists of decorative, linked hearts that meet to form a pendant of 3 hearts with a central cone-shaped ornament. The hearts have a lovely, foliate, stamped, raised design complimented by a small, bezel set, turquoise cabochon (in different shades of blue and green). The necklace is 20” long.
