For a few years around WWII and possibly up to 1950, Marcel Boucher had a special line of silver jewelry made in Mexico under the name "Parisina". I don't think we know which workshop produced those pieces or whether they were made by a number of different silversmiths. I can, however, say that Parisina jewelry ranges from the very light-weight to the chunkier, more substantial examples and that the same variety is also reflected in their designs...

A Celtic sterling and enamel hammered sash pin brooch from 1946. This 2-1/8 x 2" fully hallmarked brooch features blue, orange and green enameled "stones". It has hallmarks for Chester, England 1946 and it was made by the Wayne Hart Co. (1945-) of Birmingham and Chester. It has a c-clasp and it weighs 11.2 grams. Composed of flattened square links with rounded corners, this Scandinavian bracelet is classic, with a modernist edge. It's well constructed, with connecting rings that are securely soldered closed and a hook clasp. It shows marks for the assay city of Lahti and the year 1971; there is an unidentified maker’s mark of ANR. The bracelet measures 7 ¾ inches long and 5/8 inch wide. Weight: 12.2 grams

Vintage sterling Georg Jensen pin no. 366 designed by Nanna Ditzel. This pin is not often seen and I love the simplicity of the design. Measuring 1 3/4" by 1 1/4" and weighing 18 grams, it is in fine original condition. Signed as shown. Elegant mid-century modern design.

This flower pin is well molded and nicely detailed, making an impressive statement. It is secured by a rollover clasp and appears to have been hardly worn. The back bears a maker's mark of what appears to be Dunez Originals. It is marked sterling and measures 3 ½ in. long by 2 in. wide. Weight: 15 grams

This ring design features a constructionist approach to the classic 1960s domed ring. Ridged protrusions overlay a grainy, textured surface. The band is separated for ease of sizing; it is quite thick, so probably would need professional adjustment. It is currently a size 7. Weight: 11.4 grams

This highly decorated bracelet features a strong repoussée design of flowers and scrolls, on backgrounds of white and black enamel. Inside is the mark for Norway silver, and the maker’s mark of Andresen & Scheinpflug of Oslo. The bracelet is secured by a rod that slides into a cylinder, attached to a chain. The enamel is intact save for a tiny area of impact near the edge (see Photo 1, lower edge of bracelet, and Photo 5 for detail). The hinge and clasp are in good working order...

Alfredo Villasana was one of the finest Maestros of the Mexican Silver Renaissance. This treasure is a hand made pectoral that is shadow boxed with a nielo underneath and leaves styled and cut out with precision running across the top. The necklace weighs 105 grams of thick silver. The wearable length is a mimimum of 17 inches. No repairs or damage just, LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

A massive silver ring by Antonio Belgiorno, Buenos Aires, c 1940-50. The geometric design and the use of oxidizing is typical of Belgiorno, who is one of Argentina’s most well known artists in silver. A solid piece of jewelry that really makes a statement. Marked A Belgiorno, Industria Argentina T27 and 900. Open and adjustable, the inner diameter at present 18 mm which corresponds to size 6 ½. Condition: fine.

Seamlessly marrying sterling silver and stone, Enrique Ledesma created some of Taxco’s classiest modernist jewelry. The specific bracelet with its curved, sculptural “cut pyramid” links is set with warm, mossy azur-malachite in which browns and greens are prevalent. Artisan crafted sterling choker necklace. The necklace is constructed of thick, solid sterling silver, terminating in dramatic long spikes. The opening is 5", and the necklace weighs 47 grams, 1.66oz. Unmarked but tests as sterling silver or higher.

A substantial sterling silver necklace with interlocking block links alternating with molded cuboid elements. The cuboids or rectangular blocks bear impressed, oxidized linear patterns on all sides, giving the piece a sense of depth. It is secured with a lobster clasp that is marked 925 for sterling silver, and the necklace also tests definitively for sterling. Unclasped, the chain measures 30 in. long. Weight: 64 grams

Circa 1930's - early 40's, this necklace is the work of "JGD". This silversmith is among the few highly skilled artisans who produced this type of folk art jewelry in Mexico City during this era. This is a 3" figural dancer brooch with very intricate enameling. It is hallmarked "sterling" and " made in Siam". Great attention to detail. It is circa 1930-1980. Most of these designs represent mythological character from the Tale of Ramayama.The enameling and the gilding are in excellent condition.

Maestro Mateo is mostly known for his brutalist rings and his work spans the 1980 divide. Most of his pieces that were made after 1980 are wrought in 950 silver, which almost became the norm in Mexican jewelry during that period. A modernist sterling silver pendant with a central rough textured brutalist design by Jens Peter Clausen Gudjonsson of Iceland. Has a thick smooth band of sterling surrounding the central design. Signed JENS and 925S.

This Fred Davis is properly signed and 15.5 inches long and will catch your eye when walking by. The amethyst stones are berry colored and bright. Even harder to find are nice well formed bezels. The necklace makes a presence with a height of 1 inch. There is no damage or repairs. I will include a safety chain if you prefer to wear it longer. A hefty 90 grams of silver made by a Mexican Silver Renaissance Maestro, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

Composed of a trapezoidal enamel center of a red-orange and black mottled design, within a pierced cast sterling frame of geometric designs. The frame is of irregular width and is enhanced with oxidation. The C-clasp is secure; the matte-finish back is marked ”STG. SIL,” usually attributed to Australia or New Zealand, with the unidentified maker’s mark, possibly FM. The piece measures 1 ¾ inches long by 1 1/4 inches wide. Weight: 13.3 grams

Look carefully at the full underside of the bracelet for the clear but spread apart (hard to get all in one photo) hallmarks revealing AP, an eagle 22 and sterling Mexico for Abraham Paz. This maestro made many of the pieces for Fred Davis and this is one of those designs produced for him. He added more special cut stones on the sides of this piece than the other lion bracelets. There is no damage anywhere and it is stunning on! It displays a dark natural patina. There is a substantial 107 grams...

This mid-century Salvador Teran modernist pendant doubles as a pin. The three stones are pink quartz, chrysocolla, and jasper. It's a spectacular design, nice and large at 2 5/8" x 1 7/8". Weight is 36.1 grams. Signed and hallmarked "Salvador Sterling Mexico", with the design # 124. In excellent vintage condition. Pin closes with a roller.

This signed Gerardo Lopez's lotus flower pectoral is one of the most beautiful silver works from the Spratling Era. The repousse is without dents or flaws.
