Corpus Artisans Doris Silver was a store where extremely talented maestros worked in the back of her taller. If she liked the pieces that were made she would buy them. The workers rather came and went in between jobs and such. Chato Castillo being one. I have seen numerous names along with the Doris Marks as well as just the Doris marks alone. This work in repousse and with a height of almost 5in. tall is the most dimensional work I think I have ever seen...

A modernist sterling silver cuff bracelet by the noted NYC jeweler, Ed Wiener.

Measures approximately 5 1/2" around with an opening of 1 1/4". Measures about 1 1/2" at the widest. Signed Ed. Wiener Sterling. The Ed Wiener is partially struck but still legible. Has some minor tarnish and surface scratches.

Uniquely designed hand made sterling and amethyst cuff, c.1970's. Large and bold, the design has a hand hammered concave disc set with a cabochon amethyst atop a cuff. The disc measures 2 1/8" in diameter and the amethyst is 9/16" in diameter. The cuff is a large scale 2 1/4" wide and the inside circumference measures 7 1/2". It will fit a medium and large wrist. Of good weight, it is in excellent condition...

Straddling the divide between Aesthetic and Arts and Crafts design, this hinged sterling silver buckle bracelet was, I believe, made in the USA based on its hallmarking. The entire surface of the front "wing" is etched with ivy leaves, a motif beloved by the Victorians it seems, while the back is left blank, as is usually the case with bracelets of this type...

Vintage Mexican Silver has always been impressive when hallmarked with DORIS SILVER. This floral design has heft at 80 grams and a wearable length of 17 inches. There is a stunning presence with a drop of 1.5in. tall and 4 inches across. This graceful sterling silver ring is formed as a stylized snake with an impressed band starting at the head and tapering to the tail. The impressed area is nicely oxidized and decorated with contrasting circular elements, one of which serves as the snake's eye. The patina is soft and is nicely enhanced by the oxidation. The inside of the ring bears the partial marks for sterling, Mexico and its maker, the preeminent Taxco workshop of Los Ballesteros. The ring is sized to a 7 scant...

Being offered is a rare circa 1955 handmade sterling silver bracelet designed by Hector Aguilar of Taxco, Mexico. Comprising modern swirl design links with bezel set obsidian stones; tongue & box closure. Dimensions: size 7 1/2 x 1 1/2 inch wide. Marked as illustrated in photo. In excellent condition. Great weight.

Carved Shell Cameo set in a silver frame with a gold colored rope twist accent. The frame is marked only 800 in an oval and is most likely Italian. The carving is excellent, with highlights of different colors left in the hair. The frame has a pin closure and a moveable bail so it can be worn as a pin or a pendant. The profile of the woman and mark on the frame suggests Victorian era of 1875 - 1880's. Condition is excellent.

Jewelry hosting carved stone hearts in silver settings was very popular in the Mexican Deco period. Teased out of jasper and agate and oftentimes even dyed calcite, the hearts are unfailingly curvaceous as if pulsing with life, their sculpturality shamelessly inviting the touch. The carvings usually dominate the piece with the silver-work providing discreet framing and even though the motif was taken up again in the post-1980 period, the later examples lack the vivacity of the old pieces...

A sterling silver necklace in an Arts and Crafts Celtic design.

The necklace is not marked, but the clasp is marked 925 for sterling and also has a tiny mark, maybe a stylized 'S' that we can't identify.

Central pendant measures 2 1/8" across and 2 1/4" high including the dangle. Necklace measures 17 1/2" long. Has a spring clasp that holds securely.

Warm patina, quality piece.

Circa mid-century, these earrings produced by Hector Aguilar are rarely seen. Each earrings has five turquoise cabochons with tiny silver beading and silver loops. They remind me of baskets of turquoise flowers with handles. They are in excellent vintage condition and are collector quality. They measure 13/16" x 11/16". Weight is 11.8 grams. Signed and hallmarked with the flared "HA", ".940 Taxco", and the eagle assay 9.

This band ring is 3/8" wide. It is a size 9. It has a nice oxidized background and patina. It is marked MEXICO MA and has the eagle / assay mark that is hard to make out. This piece is in excellent condition.

This necklace is signed Taxco 980 and while there is no artist attached to this work it is of exceptional quality. Thick silver, attached with rivets, and classic style set this Mexican silver necklace apart from others. It is 7/8ths inches tall for all three pieces.
