Great architecturally designed silver and amethyst handmade pin by Kasityo, Finland, 1965. There are 2 different silver finishes - flat and grainy - that work together well. The piece is signed "KASITYO JOSE (CROWN IN HEART)FINLAND 813H(silver content) M7(1965) ANCHOR symbol made in Lahti(city) and is in excellent condition. The handmade lock is decorative and lovely. Offered on consignment... Circa mid-century, here is a large stunning amethyst ring which I believe is from Mexico. It is unmarked. Tested to be 940 silver, so greater than sterling 925. It is a magnificent ring, reminiscent of the work of Fred Davis and Abraham Paz. The amethyst is a gorgeous old stone with quartz marbling, natural inclusions, and lots of character. Unusual sterling and amber pin by N.E. From, Denmark, c.1950's. Good modernist design with a bezeled round amber stone, this dimensional organic pin is signed "STERLING DENMARK N.E.FROM 925S". This is a magnificent French past pendant circa early 1800s. It is 2 1/2" tall and 1 7/8". It is in excellent condition. There are what appears to be 2 touch marks on this item which are completely unreadable to me.

RARE:Set of 4 malachite and sterling SHOT glasses by William Spratling, made during the CONQUISTADOR period, Mexico, c.1949. Spratling had a contract with Conquistador and produced 300 items during 1949-1951. He received royalties for the designs and the items were made by Conquistador. The silver shot glass sits on a square malachite base. They each measure 2" high and the base is 1" square. Each pair is attached with an original piece of twine...

This bracelet is hallmarked Mexico Silver and it is a refreshing take on a Spratling design but leaving it to be all of it's own originality. The bracelet is 1.5in. tall in the front with the repousse band goes to .50in. in the back. This is a heavy piece in your hands and is 2.5in. in diameter. There are 6 turquoise snake eye stones on the cuffs of the hands. The amethyst balls are free of any damage and they are 5/8th's in. wide and have a gorgeous deep purple color.

This elegant pin/pendant consists of an oval of onyx in a sterling frame. The bail tests as 14kt, the pin stem tests as 10k yellow gold. In the center are inlaid gold stars, and along the periphery are inlaid flowers, most likely platinum. The frame is decorated with a silver twist, and a floral motif. It measures 1-15/16 x 1-5/8 inches, and weighs 25.9g. Circa 1880. There is some loss to a couple of the flowers, but it’s still a striking piece. The photos are part of the description...

A rare, modernist pendant necklace in 830 silver designed by Jorma Laine for Kultateollisuus Ky of Turku Finland.

Has four dangling stylized apples. It measures 2 7/8" long and 1 7/8" at the widest. Original chain measures 23" long and has a secure spring clasp. Pendant is marked 830S for the Finnish silver standard, and Finland. Chain is marked 830S.

This design has been documented as a Jorma Laine design and produced by Kultateollisuus Ky...

Measures about 1 3/8" high and 1" across. Signed Ted Lowy and Sterling. Has a rollover clasp that holds securely. Has a lightly textured finish. In fine condition.

Fun design.

Drawing inspiration from Mexico’s Spanish Colonial past, this sterling silver necklace and earrings set by Margot de Taxco combines dark oxidation with overlay and deep hand-chasing to achieve an elaborate and rich Old World visual effect. I find the central station to resemble a carnival mask - I know, too Venetian but then, carnivals were celebrated in Spain as well though not as elegantly or extravagantly...

A modernist large brooch by the noted NYC jeweler, Paul Lobel. Made of sterling silver with a wire overlay. Signed on the back, LOBEL, Sterling.

Measures 1 3/4" across and 3 3/4" high. Has a rollover closure that holds securely. Has some tarnish, minor surface scratches and a little extra solder where the wire is attached which is original. Could also be worn as a pendant with a chain through the large loop.

Sterling ring of adjustable design decorated with white guilloche enamel in a geometric motif. The enamel shows no damage or wear, and the ring is at its original size. It bears the mark of Aksel Holmsen of Sandefjord, Norway. It is a size 5.

Margot van Voorhies Carr designed this pre-Colombian double swirl and her taller Margot de Taxco created this absolute to die for necklace. It is so beautiful it was chosen as the COVER DESIGN for the book WILLIAM SPRATLING AND THE MEXICAN SILVER RENAISSANCE by Penney C. Morrill. Definitely a favorite of mine being 1 14/16th wide (for all intent and purpose you can call it 2 inches wide) and 21in. long. The actual wearable size due to its width is a comfortable 17in...
