Plateria Cecilia has produced a very nice rendition of Mexico City folk work. The stones are warmed teal turquoise, dark red coral which looks Mediteranian and an amethyst that is jelly clear purple. The center Medallion is 2 inches tall and the bracelet is 1.25in. tall. There is 7.25in. of length and also 60 grams of silver.

A first design period sterling silver cuff bracelet by William Spratling. This cuff, known as the 'Dog Bone', measures 5 3/4" around with an opening of 1 3/8" and 7/8" wide at the ends. Probably could be slightly adjusted if needed. Marked with the incised WS with Spratling Made in Mexico in a circle mark, and Sterling. Has some minor scratches and tarnish and some very tiny dings. A true find for the collector.

Early 1940's sterling silver necklace signed by Taxco, Mexico silver Maestro Los Castillo. The design features 11 chanel set cabochon globes of cobalt blue glass. 3 globes are framed by abstract silver agave leaves. Necklace measures 15 1/2" wearable inches long. The center pendant is 2" from top to bottom. Hallmarked on the back with the early linear LOS CASTILLO TAXCO STERLING MEXICO and pattern # 298. Gorgeous unpolished patina. Made from colorful Scottish chalcedonies and set with a warm, orange-brown Scottish citrine, this late 19th-century brooch typifies a design that was extremely fashionable during the Victorian era. All the stones are in lovely condition and securely set; the faceted cairngorm, or citrine, is held in place by sterling silver engraved straps. The red chalcedonies are sharply cut into pyramids, alternating with inset green triangular pieces of agate that look to be bloodstone...

Early SAM KRAMER modernist sterling ring with rutilated quartz cabochon, c.1948. Top is raised in best Kramer style with 4 tubes of silver and stone is set in darkened silver inset background(photo #1 is lighter than actual background). Top oval measures 3/4"+ by 1/2" and is size 6. Band indents near top(see photo #4) so is part of the design of the ring. Signed with "mushroom mark sterling" and is in excellent condition.....$15 for insured US shipping.

I acquired this Georg Jensen silver repousse bracelet years ago but waited for a long time to present it in the store - I was tempted to keep it and would have done so but for its length. This is Jensen’s des. no 3 and when it came to me it was accompanied by its matching necklace (sold earlier this month). A closer study of the hallmarks, however, indicates that the bracelet is earlier than its companion, pre-1945, in fact, if I am not mistaken...

Handmade sterling silver bracelet designed & signed c. 1940's by Taxco, Mexico designer William Spratling (1900-67). Bracelet measures 7 1/2 wearable inches long & 3/4" wide. Weighs 56 grams. This necklace is signed Taxco 980 and while there is no artist attached to this work it is of exceptional quality. Thick silver, attached with rivets, and classic style set this Mexican silver necklace apart from others. It is 7/8ths inches tall for all three pieces. The weight is 92 grams for the necklace and 55 grams for the bracelet and earrings. The earrings have been professionally changed to pierced and the hallmark does show on their back side...

William Spratling's Mexican Silver locket which is 2in. long including the loop for a chain, 1.25 in. deep and 1in. across is featured in todays listing. The stones have striations front and back as most from this era of the Mexican Silver Renaissance do. This example is much better than most found. Signed with Arte En Plata Taller as well as an early eagle 3. The artist initials are also shown with AJ. There is a height of 1.25 inches. The beads are a lovely blue green Azurmalachite and has 19 inches of length. The diamond drops are heavy walled silver with a dark natural patina. We have an impressive presence at 190 grams. No damage, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

Some of the most lovely, early, Mexico Silver designs are exquisite and masterfully accomplished. This marked Mexico Silver is one of these examples. The silver is thick with the set weighing 141 grams. The amethyst are set nicely in their bezels with no chips. No dents to the repousse.
