These teardrop-shaped earrings feature purple, grey, violet and black feathers enclosed between pieces of resin or a clear composite. A cut-out zigzag design reveals the feathers through the sterling silver frame. The earrings show some tarnish; they have not been aggressively cleaned to avoid damaging the inserts. The screwbacks are in good working order; one exhibits the eagle 3 mark for Mexican sterling, the other, an unidentified geometrical maker’s mark...

Cast as a lion's head and upper body, this ring is especially compelling for its intricate detail. The lion's mane continues from the head down to the ring's shoulder, and the tail rises from the band on the opposite side. It shows hardly any wear; the patina on the lower band suggests there is some age to the ring. The ring is unmarked and is sized to 6 ½; the lion's head measures about ¾ inch wide and ½ inch high. This sterling bracelet features a sophisticated design influenced by the ancient Americas, composed of rectangular, scrolled links. They are securely connected by curled elements that have retained their shape. The bracelet shows hardly any wear and has a nice heft. The hook clasp is in good working condition and bears an Eagle 1 mark for sterling with a circular mark for Taxco and maker’s intials of MP. The bracelet measures 7 ½ inches long by ½ inch wide. A lovey early vintage Mexican Silver Brooch designed and signed by Hector Aguilar. It features two Acorns along with an oak leaf set on two curving stems. Measures 3" long by 1 3/4: wide and weighs 13.9 grams. Hallmarked 940, HA, Taxco. In good condition with a pin clasp.

A puzzling piece - though it is signed “Birks”, the hallmark does not look like the Canadian company’s commonly encountered marks - this vintage sterling vermeil pin is a small work of art. Slender and elegant, the flower it represents consists of a textured silver stem while its leaves and bloom are made of molded jadeite glass. The glass is supple and glistens thanks to the glaze that was applied over it and the brooch has that romantic, nature-loving air of 1940s jewelry...

This late 19th-century sterling silver bar pin is formed as four graduated medallions with classical military profiles. It was made by the Frank M. Whiting Co. of North Attleboro, MA, and bears the maker’s mark on the back. The features of the faces are sharply molded and detailed. There is a modified C-clasp on the back. The pin measures 2 1/4 inches long and about 3/4 inch at its widest part.

A vintage modernist sterling silver stylized brooch with a Pre Columbian bird by the noted Peruvian silversmith, Graziella Laffi. The bird has a teal blue enamel eye and an oversized head. May be a duck. Body has an additional layer of sterling. The brooch is curved for a 3-D effect.

This sterling silver ring features a ‘taco’-like folded design with a zigzag band inside sitting on its edge. The inside of the folded piece has been deeply oxidized with a translucent finish. The ring exhibits various kinds of tool marks. The ring is possibly Norwegian, with a mark of 925S inside the band; there are also maker’s initials of JPC, possibly for Danish silversmith Jens Peter Clausen of Copenhagen (1973-1981). A huge Coro retro gilt sterling coat pin from the 1940s. This 4-1/2" x 2-5/8" brooch features branches and flowers with aqua blue claw-set foil-backed rhinestone centers in a swirling holder. It has a safety catch, it is signed CORO STERLING with a small etched S16, and it is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs, but please note that the blue rhinestones are a little foggy - the settings are open-backed...

Constructed as mold-pressed disks with raised reserves and scrolled borders. The disks test as sterling; the removable bridge bars are marked sterling. All connecting rings are original, as are the bridge bars. Each disk button measures ½ inch in diameter. Weight: 2.8 grams total

This sterling silver pendant has an arts and crafts feel. It features a central polished turquoise marbled with matrix that appears to be quite stable. It has an angular starburst design with a wide bail that bears a 925 mark as well as Hebrew markings. The .835 silver chain is not original to the piece, but is of the period. It is probably Austrian or Polish and measures 18 inches long unclasped. The pendant measures 1 ½ inches by 1 1/8 inches. Gross weight of pendant: 7.1 grams
