This sculpturally stunning cuff was designed by Spratling during the rare(1949-51) period when he signed his work SPRATLING De MEXICO STERLING. Spratling marries rich, carved azur malachite and heavy sterling silver to beautiful effect. Weighing 85 grams the cuff stands 2" high at the front tapering to 1" at back. The interior length is 5 3/4" plus 1 1/4" opening. The piece is in beautiful condition...

The earrings are composed of single rosettes of gilded sterling silver and iridescent green glass. The screw backs are marked ‘Mexico/Silver.’ Each earring measures 1 ¼ inches wide.

A delightful Imperial Austrian silver brooch set with three reverse-carved Essex crystals by the Imperial jeweler Georg Adam Scheid. The domed pin is finely engraved in a basket-weave motif and is pierced by three Essex crystals, each depicting a lap dog, perhaps a Pekingese. The dogs are well carved and colored, with tiny blue bows under their chins. The crystals never had a mother-of-pearl backing like those produced in England and France...

An amazing sterling silver modernist brooch adorned with four purple cabochons by the renown Israeli jeweler, Rachel Gera. Measures 5" long and 2" across. Can be worn as a pendant with a converter. (We will provide if requested.) The larger cabochon is an amethyst and the smaller dark red ones may be garnets. Signed on the back Gera, Israel and 925. Rollover clasp holds securely. Heavy and substantial. Wonderful piece of modernist jewelry.

A graceful pendant of clean, spare design and lightly oxidized. The back bears the mark of modernist jeweler Bill Tendler. The pendant measures 1 ½ inches long by ½ inch at its widest part. Weight: 2.8 grams (A 24-inch chain is included; it did not originate with the pendant, but is of the same period.)

Some would say this is Antonio Pineda's most loved design. His work is masterful and with a 1.75in. tall presence it commands center stage. The diameter is 4.5in. and is at least a 16.5in. wearable length. My model has molded hair that takes up some length of the necklace in the back so it will be somewhat longer on you. The obsidian glows (but is hard to photograph). No damage and no flaws with a display of 223 grams of majestic silver and stone...

We have an early cuff and earring set that is marked with only Mexico Sterling. The filigree is thick and heavy. The frame going around is firm. The curls are precise and great care was made for the prongs that hold the stone to have the feel for the rest of the design with filigree loops. Leaves with a pretty patina adorn the back of each side. Please ask and I can send pictures of the markings. The gap is 1in. and the height is a huge 2.5in. tall. This is a substantial set weighing 74 grams...

Decorated with applied grapes, vines and gold leaves, set with an amethyst, this arts and crafts cross pendant is probably English and reminiscent of the work of Henry George Murphy, though it is unsigned. The gold is of a low (probably 10) karat. The cross is suspended from a later sterling chain. It measures 3 inches long by 2 3/8 inches wide; length including chain is about 14 1/2 inches. This large brooch / pin measures 3" x 2 7/8" at highest and widest. It features a foliate branch motif with a flowerhead and applied bud in the middle. It is from the Late Arts and Crafts Era: circa 1940's. It weighs approximately 24 grams.

A vintage bracelet with a central Pre Columbian bird probably from either Ecuador or Peru in 950 silver. The bird has a green stone cabochon eye. There is a layer of red and gold woven material behind the bird. Bracelet has four hinged thick silver chains meeting in the back.

A well crafted sterling silver brooch signed Sterling Handwrought and The Gorham Co. Probably executed by the Chicago silversmith Bjarne Meyer. Beautifully hand hammered silver. Bjarne Meyer did work for Gorham and also worked for Georg Jensen, USA. Measures 1 5/8" across. Has a three dimensional repousse design, possibly a stylized feather or apple. Dark patina, has some tarnish. Fine example of Arts and Crafts silver work.

Absolutely stunning very big Danish sterling silver modernist vintage 1960s statement size ring with luminous blue green abalone shell inlay, by Danish jewelry maker Arne Johansen. Marked 925S and DENMARK, and signed AJ. Ring size 7. Great size -- the top is 1 3/8 inches long, 5/8 inch wide, and stands 1/4 inch off the finger. Excellent condition. Display form is life size. A vintage sterling silver ring by Andreas Mikkelsen, Denmark in a modernist folded design. Mikkelsen worked for Georg Jensen and designed modern pieces for them before striking out on his own. Streamlined curves, thick sterling, very Mid Century. Marked A.Mik., Denmark, and 925S. Measures size 7. Has a little tarnish. Very unique design.
