An antique pin with a modern vibe. This charming Arts & Crafts is made of sterling silver that has been enameled in artfully shaded blue to chartreuse to look like the wings of a stylized moth. A mother-of-pearl oval centers the body, and there is a small faceted green 'stone' (possibly glass) at the head. Marked STE for the maker, Town Mark for Stockholm, National Mark, Silver Standard, and date code for 1977. Also signed Birger H for Birger Haglund.

Measures about 1 1/2" long and 1" at the widest. Has a bezel set red stone, probably a garnet. Curved for an interesting effect. Rollover safety clasp holds securely. In very nice condition.

Signed Los Castillo and constructed with thick silver weighing 84 grams. The repousse is beautifully fashioned with flowing curls and beaded sides and a dark natural patina. This clamper bracelet is design 250 with the artist being Margot Van Voorhies before her divorce to Antonio Castillo. The presence is stunning with a height of 2.5 inches. Fits most with an inner diameter of 2 3/8th inches. No dents, strong spring and no repairs. One of the very best from the Spratling era.
