Measuring 27" long, this 940 sterling silver & copper necklace was designed c. 1940-50's by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar (1905-86). The center disc is 1 1/2" wide graduating to 1/2" at the back. Weight is 124 grams. Beautiful condition & patina. Each disc is connected to the next with a silver rivet giving the design fluid movement. Signed TAXCO HA 940 eagle #9. A similar necklace is pictured on p. 140 of Silver Masters of Mexico by Penny Morrill.

Signed with the conjoined HA, Taxco and 940 for better than sterling silver. Pre Eagle, (pre 1949).

Measures 2 1/4" across and 2" high. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. The brooch has a beautiful, warm patina.

Classic Aguilar design.

Machine-age styling give these sterling silver earrings a clean, distinctive look. They have a warm patina from age, and exhibit very little wear; the clip backs are marked Trifari and are in good working order. The earrings are marked sterling and probably date around 1950. A massive silver ring by Antonio Belgiorno, Buenos Aires, c 1940-50. The geometric design and the use of oxidizing is typical of Belgiorno, who is one of Argentina’s most well known artists in silver. A solid piece of jewelry that really makes a statement. Marked A Belgiorno, Industria Argentina T27 and 900. Open and adjustable, the inner diameter at present 18 mm which corresponds to size 6 ½. Condition: fine.
