This is an exquisite piece, c. 1910. It is made of 830 vermeil. The filigree-bordered circles suspend 3 blue enamel flowers with white centers. The filigree design between the circs have a similar dangle with a central, white cab. This spectacular brooch measures 1 1/2" across (1 3/4" w/ extended pin). It measures 2 5/8" from top to bottom. The back is marked 830 with a maker's mark I cannot make out.

Fabulous chandelier drop earrings in sterling with brilliant rock crystal stones in openback deep settings with tiny prongs. Circa 1910 or 1920. The backs of the screw posts are marked STERLING. A beautiful demi-parure consisting of a matching necklace and bracelet in gold washed silver with very big faceted opaline glass stones, prong set, and bezel set in the center of the necklace. Marked SILVER. Circa 1900 - 1920. Possibly French. A very unusual design, and I have never had opaline stones this big before. They have fabulous pink and blue tones which are not completely captured in the photos.

Beautiful and rare early signed Carl Schon Baltimore silver and mother of pearl ring. With a huge bezel set mother of pearl piece with a three dimensional crab and frog facing each other, with asymmetrical dimensional shell motifs on each side of the shank.

Carl Schon, not well known outside of Baltimore, was a jeweler and decorative arts metalware maker, working in an Arts & Crafts and transitional/Art Deco style, from the late 1890s until his death in 1923...

An excellent late Victorian silver baton link watch chain, the batons decorated with niello in a checkboard pattern. The batons are joined by gilt silver curb links. Even the dog clip and bolt clasps are enhanced with striped niello. The chain is stamped “800.”

Stunning antique Austro Hungarian silver Renaissance revival necklace with six very large genuine turquoise stones, three in robin's egg blue, and three in dark green. Circa 1900. A lovely silver, plique-a-jour enamel, mother-of-pearl, and paste pendant in the German Art Jugendstil or Nouveau taste. The pendant is worked with very attractive enameled cells in shades of teal, cream and rose. An antique silver - most probably sterling - watch fob with original chain and dog clip, this sweet little find is, I believe, from the late Victorian / Edwardian period. There is nothing mundane about it either - I find the basketweave ribbon that runs the fob's perimeter at the waist eye-catching as well as the wire-work above it. Beautiful antique French circa 1900 to 1920 long necklace or guard / muff chain in sterling silver with unusually large rock crystal stones, collet set, with a spring ring clasp attached to allow items to be hung from the chain. Stunning heavy and substantial early silver wide curved link bracelet. Marked 835. Austrian or German. Circa 1900 or earlier. Substantial at 53 grams. With an ornate Etruscan revival design comprised of many large and small applied silver beads. With a slide clasp and safety catch. An elegant Art Nouveau silver brooch depicting a maiden smelling a rose. She is surrounded in a bower of climbing roses and enclosed in a frame of whiplash curves typical of French Art Nouveau. The clasp is marked for silver and bears the maker's mark of Fernand Boursot, who opened shop in Paris in 1894. THe brooch could be converted to a pendant with the addition of a bail at the top or a pair of bails and a split chain at the upper corners.

Here is an interesting portrait in silver, of a wind-swept young person clad in a cloak and hood. It’s very detailed and just lovely. We think it’s a boy (very unusual in jewelry), as the hair seems to be quite short under the hood. The hood itself looks like a cap made from a flower, as seen on fairies in Victorian children’s books. It measures 1-1/8” wide, is hollow, and is marked “STERLING TOP GERMAN SILVER BACK”. A delightfully feisty-looking cat is featured in the French Art Nouveau brooch. We’re particularly fond of his enormously long whiskers that stretch the full width of the pin. The pin is stamped with French silver marks and with an illegible maker’s mark.

A classic Pforzheim school silver Jugendstil brooch decorated with plique-a-jour enamels, moldavite and seed pearls. The translucent enamels have the velvety texture and very subtle coloring typical of many Pforzheim jewels of the period. The reverse is marked "Depose 900" and has the maker's mark for Karl Hermann (Hermann & Speck), one of the leading German Art Nouveau jewelers.
