Signed Los Castillo and constructed with thick silver weighing 84 grams. The repousse is beautifully fashioned with flowing curls and beaded sides and a dark natural patina. This impressive 2 3/4" sterling silver cuff studded with 30 amethyst cabs was hallmarked c. 1940 by Manuel Altamirano, senior silversmith in Hector Aguilar's Taller Borda. Interior length measures 5 1/2" end to end. The gap opening is 1 1/2". Terminals measure 2 3/4" wide, center front is 2 1/2" wide. Weight 79 grams. The bracelet is in beautiful condition. See p. 198 of Silver Masters of Mexico for more detailed information on Altamirano. Pieces signed Altamirano are scarce.

Margot Van Voorhies signed design # 5513 is a large bracelet measuring 1.5in. tall with a royal presence. It is an airy design but constructed with thick silver repousse and weighing in at 62 grams of heft. The length is 7.5in. There is no damage of any kind and has a natural patina. One of Margot de Taxco's best!

Lovely vintage sterling triangle link necklace number 319 designed by Bent Gabrielsen in the 60's for the Hans Hansen company. It measures 15" long and the links are 1" by 1/2". This is an impressive Hector Aguilar bracelet. Vintage dated to 1940-45 because of the earlier 990 mark making this one more rare than most. Weighing 51.2 grams and 1 1/8in. wide the chain is heavy and the gage of the medallion is thick silver. A modernist sterling silver ring by noted mid century jeweler, Sam Kramer, in an abstract shape with a green, possibly Chryoprase, bezel set cabochon. Measures about a 7 1/2. I am listing another stunning Mexican Silver clamper bracelet produced by Gerardo Lopez who was renown for beautiful vintage repousse in Taxco, Mexico. We have a Matl Salas, gold wash, and snake bracelet to match a Matl snake necklace also listed on our site. The length is 8in. long but fits like a 7 in. bracelet because of it's width of .75in. and depth of the weave. The hallmark shown has a worn S and M and is also photographed on it's curved surface. These snakes are a time consuming work as they are hand woven with silver wire. All coils are present and beautifully spaced. The weight is 76 grams heavy.

Unsigned and astonishing on. Tested for sterling and then some. The S swirls are repousse and large at 1.75in. long. The total weight is 81 grams heavy. The silver feels buttery soft and it has a dark natural patina that defines how wonderful this old work of art is. All hand made and follows a Patania Sr. feel when on.
