Circa 1930's - early 40's, this necklace is the work of "JGD". This silversmith is among the few highly skilled artisans who produced this type of folk art jewelry in Mexico City during this era. This wonderful mid century modern daisy broach was made in the middle of the 20th century by Anton Michelson Company. The broach is made of sterling silver, white hard enamel and gold plated. The diameter of the broach is 1 ¼”.

A fabulous Italian Deco (if not a little earlier even!) silver charm / pendant in the Peruzzi style, this piece is big and opens up to reveal a hidden compartment. Usually referred to as "trunk" charms, baubles like this in the Etruscan style can be seen hanging off bracelets or worn with vintage chains as necklaces. I love the detail and profuse ornamentation of the "sphere" at hand with its row of red coral cabs adding a splash of color to the beautifully aged silver-work...

A well crafted, hand wrought necklace with four bezel set onyx cabochons suspended from a lightly hammered sterling silver link chain.

Each side of the chain measures about 10" long for a total of 21" including the secure hook clasp. The pendant measures 2 1/2" long and 1 5/8" at the widest.

Marked sterling on the back in three places. Has some tarnish and minor surface scratches. Lays nicely on the neck.

Fine modernist design.

This interesting beetle stick pin harkens back to the Egyptian revivals (early 1800s, and then again in the 1920s). Perfect for your lapel, the beetle is in very good condition (the pin is slightly bent, as is usual with gold stick pins), and is set in unmarked but tested 14k rose gold. The beetle itself is 9/16” x 7/16” at the widest points, and is held firmly in place by 4 prongs. The whole thing is 2-3/4” long...

I have a weakness for Italian silver jewelry and vanity pieces from the opening decades of the 20th c. and enameled compacts with figural decoration are a big favorite of mine. A beautiful Art Deco 18K white gold three-stone ring set with peridots. The setting is finely worked in an Art Deco interpretation of a classic acanthus leaf design.
