A massive silver ring by Antonio Belgiorno, Buenos Aires, c 1940-50. The geometric design and the use of oxidizing is typical of Belgiorno, who is one of Argentina’s most well known artists in silver. A solid piece of jewelry that really makes a statement. Marked A Belgiorno, Industria Argentina T27 and 900. Open and adjustable, the inner diameter at present 18 mm which corresponds to size 6 ½. Condition: fine.

This pre-1948 necklace from Doris Silver measures 17 1/2" long. I have not seen this design before, and it is really beautiful. Looks amazing on, and very flattering. The three flowers each measure 1 5/8" x 2 3/16" and have a turquoise cabochon at the center. Signed and hallmarked Doris Silver Corpus Artisans Mexico. Weight is 51.6 grams. This tennis racket and tennis ball pin is made in Mexico. It is marked 925. The ball is a pearl. I cannot make out the makers mark. It is 2 3/8" x 15/16"

Extraordinary patriotic World War II era “V for Victory” brooch in 14K yellow gold set with sapphires and pearls. Victory sentiments were fashionable in costume jewelry, but fine jewelry examples are extremely scarce. This Los Castillo design 262 is an early one created when Margot Van Voorhies was married to Don Antonio Castillo. I believe these early pieces are the very best of her work. Stunning in size with an almost 2 inches of height and a weight of 84 grams of almost pure 980 silver. The condition reflects no damage and also well cared for over time. The diameter is 2.25 inches with the gap set at 1in. This can be professionally adjusted for most to fit. One of the best from the Spratling Era.

Large mixed metal fish pin by Rafael Dominguez, Mexico, 1943. Primarily made of 960 silver, there are copper and brass inset accents "marrying" the metals. Wonderful pin measures 3 3/8" long by 2 1/8" wide and is signed "RD 960". In excellent condition but there is some separation where silver is married to the one brass accent(see photo #2)......$11 for insured US shipping.

This Norma jelly belly sterling duck with umbrella is 1 3/4" x 1". It is hallmarked Norma and sterling. He has a red rhinestone eye. Lucite jelly bellies were copied from figurals originally done in gold and rock crystal.

This impressive 2 3/4" sterling silver cuff studded with 30 amethyst cabs was hallmarked c. 1940 by Manuel Altamirano, senior silversmith in Hector Aguilar's Taller Borda. Interior length measures 5 1/2" end to end. The gap opening is 1 1/2". Terminals measure 2 3/4" wide, center front is 2 1/2" wide. Weight 79 grams. The bracelet is in beautiful condition. See p. 198 of Silver Masters of Mexico for more detailed information on Altamirano. Pieces signed Altamirano are scarce.
