Circa mid-century, this Antonio Pineda cuff is a book-piece design shown in "Silver Seduction: The Art of Mexican Modernist Antonio Pineda". Pure eye candy, this concave cuff features nine conical amethysts which appear to be floating on a center pivoting arm. An abstract sterling silver brooch by Modernist NYC Silversmith, Henry Steig. May be a stylized leaf or feather. Measures 2" long and 1" at the widest. Signed on the back Steig Sterling. Rollover safety clasp holds securely. There is an area along the darkened edge that is textured, not sure if that is original or wear. Nice contrast of polished and darkened sterling. This great 3-piece set (parure, suite) has a modernist design, with leaves swirling into buds. The brooch is also a pendant. It measures 2 1/4" x 1 1/2". It is marked TAXCO HECHO EN MEXICO STERLING 925 Assay Mark 3 and V.A. (for the silversmith). The earrings are screwbacks and measure 1/2" x 1 1/4", marked TAXCO V.A., as well. A wonderful Skonvirke 830S silver brooch by the well regarded Danish silversmith, Evald Nielsen, (1879-1958).

Measures 2 5/8" long and 5/8" at the widest. Has one central dark purple cabochon. Very light, delicate hammering, beautiful repousse work. Marked 830S for the Danish silver standard and the stylized EN mark on the back. Has an older rollover clasp which holds securely. Very fine condition, with minor tarnish.
