This sterling stork has a curly tail, leaves for feet and angel like wings. The body is a very large kite shaped reversed carved blue rhinestone. All of this in a sterling setting. Large by Western standards, this is actually the "childs" size version of this foo dog necklace worn by the Chinese Miao minority 70-90 years ago. Made of low grade silver, typical of Chinese jewelry of the time period, the intricate pendant is 5.5 inches across, 6.5 inches long and suspended from a long hand-made chain. A fine pair of vintage 18K yellow gold earrings in the Venetian Etruscan style. Each earring features a 1.52 amethyst cabochon surrounded by smaller cabochons. The gold surfaces are enhanced with an intricate pattern of wire- and bead-work, and the edges are finished in a zigzag pattern. The earrings are marked with Italian hallmarks. This 1930's vintage Mexican Silver Cuff Bracelet by the early Mexican department store Sanborn's features a hand chased and silver repousse floral design. It measures 5 1/4" long with an opening of 1 1/4" by 1 1/3" wide and weighs 33.1 grams. Hallmarked with the Owl figure, Sanborns, Mexico Sterling - the Owl mark was used starting in 1931. The bracelet is in good condition with only light age related wear and tarnish. A lovely bracelet with great style.
