Reminiscent of machine-age design, these mid-century silver cuff links are composed of applied semi-circular bars spanning the width of a flat, rectangular bar. The anchor bars are flat, plain panels with hinges. They are marked 830, with the maker’s mark of Eiler & MarlØe of Copenhagen (1920-1967). They measure 1 inch long by a little over ¼ inch wide at the areas where the curved bars are attached. Total weight: 18 grams

Round two-sided cuff links ringed with inlaid cobalt blue enamel in a scalloped decoration and a central engraved grid pattern. They are well made with a nice heft; connecting rings and bridge bars are secure. Some of the grid pattern has worn off, as shown in the photos. Each button measures 5/8 inch in diameter. There appear to be worn marks on the connecting rings; the bridge bars are marked 800 to indicate silver content. Weight: 8.9 grams total

Engraved with an elongated diamond pattern on rectangular panels, with ovular anchor links, these 1960s cuff links have a modern, angular look. The bridge bars bear the maker’s mark of Bernhard Hertz, Copenhagen (1936- ). All connections are in good working order; the cuff links show hardly any wear. The rectangular pieces measure 7/8 inch long by ½ inch wide. Weight: 9.2 grams

A streamlined, classic design of an oval amber mounted in a bezel setting. The cuff links appear hardly worn; the amber exhibits no scratches or other signs of wear. The anchor buttons are undecorated silver; the hinge is in good working order and the bridge bars are secure. They are marked 835 for silver content, with a maker’s mark of a stylized fish, probably for the German firm of Fischlandschmuck. The amber buttons measure ¾ inch by 5/16 inch.

This quirky and charming bird pin is the work of a talented Peruvian jeweler named Goizueta, of whom very little is known. The pin is set with two pieces of greenish-blue stone known as azurite or chrysocolla. There is some roughness to the edges of the round piece, but it is securely mounted. The pin has a secure rollover clasp and bears the name of T. Goizueta, as well as marks for sterling and Peru. It is quite substantial and measures 1 ¼ inches by 1 ¾ inches.

A classic design of engine-turned engraved vertical lines and molded edges on the larger, rectangular buttons, the smaller sides ovular with a textured surface. The cuff links are lightweight but well made, and appear to have been hardly worn. The connections and bridge bars are very secure; both bars are marked 835 for silver content with double-struck crabs, apparently to indicate Paris (silver mark used 1838-1962). The maker's mark also appears in a diamond-shaped reserve...

These cuff links are composed of forged-wire bands that have been hand-formed into pinwheel shapes and anchor bars with curled ends. The anchor bars are marked sterling and are secured to the buttons with a soldered figure-eight link; the cuff links exhibit tool marks from working the silver. They are probably from the 1950s. The pinwheels measure about 11/16 inch across; the anchor bars measure 1 inch long. Weight: 9.7 grams total

A nice pair of sterling silver cufflinks with an subtle Art Deco engraved floral motif. The solid connectors are joined to hinged backs. Each connector is stamped with Polish sterling marks and an unidentified maker's mark.

Origin: Poland, ca. 1986 (the pattern is likely from the 1920s). Condition: excellent; sharp detail; unpolished. Dimensions: 13/16" x 1/2". Weight: 10.6 gr.

These elongated silver cuff links are set with cobalt blue spinels, enhanced with an applied silver wire. Each bridge bar is marked for .835 silver; the anchor bars are decorated with engine-turned engraving. All connections and both hinges are intact and show no stress; there is a tiny nick on the underside edge of one cuff link. They date from the 1950s and measure about 1 ½ inches long by ½ inch at the widest part.

These Mexican cuff links are unmarked but their design featuring a Precolumbian-style figure indicates their origin. They are also marked 980 on the backs of one side, a silver content consistent with Mexican jewelry. They are likely from the 1930s to 1950. The larger button measures ¾ inch in diameter. This rhodium plated necklace has a spring-ring catch, it measures 14" long, and it has a central 1-3/8" x 3/4" drop and round and rectangular claw-set open backed crystal stones. It is unsigned, and this necklace is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

A raised scene of windmills and a seaport decorate this ornate sterling silver money clip. The scene is framed by scrollwork, and the entire design is enhanced by sharp detail. The clip is secure, and the metal shows no signs of stress or serious wear. The back exhibits European silver marks, as yet unidentified, and is most likely from the 1950s-1960s. The clip measures about 2 ¼ inches by 1 1/8 inches. Weight: 18.4 grams

Art Nouveau gilt brass & blue crystal necklace 1910 1920. This necklace has unfoiled hand cut blue crystal stones and this stylish 16-3/4" necklace has a chain and springring catch with five 1" across links with openwork and embossed designs with 3/4" ornate links in between. Very evocative of the Arts and Crafts style but most probably made in the 1940s, this elegant sterling silver ring is adorned with a pearlescent purple moonglow lucite “stone”. This type of luxurious plastic was very popular in the 1940s and extensively used in the world of costume jewelry so I think it’s an exciting surprise to find a sterling ring set with it. Please note the detail in the layers of leaves that form the shoulders, the tiny lozenges and linear designs enhancing the bezel...

Composed of geometrical open panels, this sterling silver bracelet is studded with tiny pieces of marcasite. It features a secure tongue and groove clasp and a sterling safety chain. There are seven marcasites missing, but it’s hard to tell without magnification because they are so small. The back of the clasp is marked sterling; there is also a sterling mark on the back of one panel along with a partial, unidentified maker’s mark...

Reminiscent of the Renaissance Revival style, these intricately decorated earrings are set with central chrysoprase cabochons surrounded by faceted green glass stones. The earrings test as silver, date somewhere around 1930-1950, and are most likely .800 silver. Modern sterling silver posts have replaced screw back closures that were marked ‘SIL.’ Each earring measures ½ inch across and about ¼ inch deep.

A Chinese articulated silver gilt fish pin circa 1930s. This fantastically detailed and superbly constructed 2-1/2 x 3/4" fish pin is lushly gilded and it is fully articulated and it has natural coral eyes. It has a safety clasp and the mouth is hinged and opens (for what purpose we don't know). A vintage 1930s large coat pin and matching earrings. This set consists of the 4-1/2" x 2-3/4" gilt silver coat pin and matching 1" screw-back earrings. Each piece is stamped STERLING. Here is an elegant ring featuring six faceted pieces of smoky quartz mounted in a star-shaped sterling silver setting. A central silver star sits at the top. The band is marked sterling, and the stones show no signs of wear. The ring is sized 5 ¾; it sits 5/8 inch high.

An Art Nouveau sterling fronted sash brooch. This 3 x 2" brooch dates to around 1900. This pin is stamped STERLING TOP, it has the original c-clasp, and it weighs 14.1 grams. This sterling silver necklace of faces and fleur-de-lys has a European feel and is designed in the Renaissance Revival style most associated with Peruzzi. It does not bear a maker’s mark, but the spring-ring clasp is marked as sterling, and the various elements test definitively for silver. There is a roughness to the casting, but the lobed beads in between are nicely detailed. It has a twisted multi-link chain. The necklace measures a little over 16 inches long. Weight: 16.3 grams

Each panel is molded hollow, with edges rolled under. The bracelet is lightweight, but substantially made; the tongue-and-groove clasp is secure, and bears the patent date of Sept. 6, 1887...

Composed of a hammered-look, lozenge-shaped panel decorated with applied silver wire and beads, this impressive pin evokes a German arts and crafts influence. The faceted stone is almost clear and tests strongly as quartz/amethyst/citrine; in certain light it looks like a smoky quartz or very light citrine. The stone sits securely within a modified bezel mounting and shows no wear or scratching...

Composed of mold-pressed gilded sterling silver, these handsome, 19th-century cuff links are formed as pointed oblong buttons, decorated with pale blue enameled scrolls and flowers. They are linked by removable S-formed bridges, and both are marked sterling. Each button measures about 1 inch long and ¼ inch at its widest part. Weight: 6.1 grams

Here are two charming sterling silver scatter pins formed as ladies’ heads complete with bonnets and flowing hair. They are typical of the highly detailed cast work of Unger Bros., of Newark, NJ, during the Art Nouveau period. Both have secure C-clasps; one looks to have been replaced, perhaps during the 1920s. The fine features are intact and the maker’s mark well struck. Each pin measures 3/4 inch long by 5/8 inch wide. 4.4 grams total

A nice quality pin with a graceful design, set with a dyed blue chalcedony. It is American, with a maker’s mark of conjoined JM for Joseph Masaniello, a New York jewelry artisan who worked during the 1940s and 1950s, and was a friend and contemporary of Carl Ruopoli. The pin is formed as stylized calla lilies and leaves, with vine-like curls. It’s a substantial piece and measures 2 3/4 inches long by 1 1/8 inches wide. Gross weight: 15.8 grams

This delicate link bracelet features four oval cabochons, each prong-set in a decorative sterling frame. Sterling openwork panels, each set with a single marcasite, connect the frames. The ornate settings give the piece a more formal feel than Deco; possibly this dates later, perhaps the 1950s. The spring-ring clasp is secure, and is marked sterling; one of the connecting panels is also marked sterling on the back. The bracelet measures about 7¼ inches long by about 5/8 inch wide.

Natural Bohemian garnets are featured in this antique pin. Two round elements are made up of three tiers of rich red rose-cut garnets. Each garnet circle is surrounded by a row of tiny rose-cut garnets. Suspended from these elements are three droppers featuring more garnets, round and marquise in shape. These droppers add eye-catching motion to the piece when it is worn. All of the gems are beautifully prong set. The pin is unmarked but is silver and is 1 ¼” wide. It has the original tub...
