A very fine Early Nineteen Century Venetian Grand Canal View Oil measurements 16” x 20”. The painting is unsigned done in the style of the English artist, Turner.

Isaac Van Oosten, Flemish, 1613-1661,Attribution. Stunning Flemish/Dutch, 16-17th C. Oil on copper. This piece is in excellent condition. The in-frame dimensions are 38" W x 30" H while the painting itself measures 28 1/4" W x 20 1/4" H. The amazing frame is from the 19th Century and showcases the beauty of the piece. The subject matter is Venus (in her Half Shell chariot pulled by doves) finding Adonis dead after the hunt she begged him not to go on.

Oil on canvas laid against panel, 10 1/2" by 13 1/2" (14" by 17" framed), signed at lower right by mid-century artist A. R. NOULIN. The beautifully painted little work reminds of Maurice Utrillo's 1920's paintings of the famed quarter around Sacre Coeur's white church. The shutters on all the buildings, the other details, all so nicely crafted. There are three tiny figures in the street. The painting is on a coarse weave canvas and is laid against a panel (not laid down onto it permanently)...

Oil on canvas, 21" by 26" (26" by 31" as framed), the subject a winter landscape with coniferous trees in the background, a small unfrozen lake completing the scene. This is an impressionistic work by a nicely listed painter, the works of whom appear with frequency at auctions in Finland. I currently do not have a lot of biographical information on the artist, who was, judging from the label on the reverse (see photo), a member of the Society of Finnish Painters...

Oil on canvas landscape of an autumnal forest with small foreground lake or pond, a man in a boat, signed in red at lower right, difficult to decipher the signature, though the work bears an old export stamp and an old label from a Budapest, Hungary auction house. The painting measures 21" by 10 1/4" plus two inches of framing on a side including inner gold fillet and green velvet liner. The signature looks like "J Tietz" or something similar but that is just a guess...

A strong oil on wood portrait of a gentleman sporting a long ponytail, and wearing a large black hat, a ruffled white shirt, a brownish-gray jacket. Cleverly executed to look like the painting is oval and in a mat, in actuality the entire surface is painted and is not a mat.

The condition of this work is excellent, with no issues or restoration. The frame, which is modern, nicely complements this work sight size is 6 1/2" by 4 1/2", with the framed size being 8 3/4" by 7".

This is a mid 19th century very fine portrait of Benjamin West. The oil on canvas measures 24" x 19 3/4". On the back of the canvas it is written "Francios Agman Boudard", "Cecile Dulac Bastier", and Juliette Bastier Saide, and Louis Thomas. It has (3) dates on it being 1861, 1894, and 1926...

Oil on canvas, 27" by 39" (32 1/2" by 44 1/2" as framed), the scene a deep blue lake with small boats and a dock, puffy clouds filling the sky on a peaceful summer day. It is an expansive scene, large enough to invite the viewer to feel he is a part of it. I suppose the work is Swedish or Danish. A nicely worked painting of a lovely flamenca dancer in Spain, circa 1950's, 20 1/4" by 16 1/2" plus narrow frame, signed at lower right by listed artist CESAR VILOT. Vilot was active at mid century, and is known for his alluring paintings of females both nude and dressed, some painted in the style of Jean Gabriel Domergue. The painting has even soiling consistent with age, and a few minor abrasions, see at left below flounce of dress and to her right about 1/4 of the way down. Note the shadow...

The work measures 24" by 18" (27" by 21" in simple white wood framing). The piece has beautiful depth and a balanced satisfying palette of colors. Condition is excellent.

Georges Lucien Boichard 19th Century French Portrait Painter This is an original oil on mahogany Panel by French artist Georges Lucien Boichard. This painting is signed and dated 1883 upper right.
