A small contemporary watercolor of the dynamic waterfront harbor area of Vancouver, British Columbia, signed by artist Jo Wodz. A **PAIR** of watercolor on paper paintings of tropical South Florida landscapes, each 15 1/4" by 19 1/4" (one unframed, the other measuring 21 1/4" by 25 1/4"), both signed by Wisconsin-born artist RACHEL STEARNS (1895-1979). Stearns spent much of her life in Chicago where she received art education, some with Frederic Grant. Evidently she spent a lot of time in Florida, as a number of watercolor works featuring scenes from that state are known...

A beautifully painted watercolor titled on reverse backing "After the Storm/Point Vicente" painted in 1998 by the noted California illustrator artist BOB DOUGHTY (1924-2011). The subject is the lighthouse at Point Vicente not far from Long Beach and the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The 13" by 20" watercolor " (22 1/4" by 29" framed, behind Plexi) is in excellent, fresh condition, the colors vivid, though the mat should be replaced with a fresh one...

This is a fine 1919 work featuring roses and their stems and leaves, signed at right center by artist A. E. DALE and dated there 1919. I do not see a listing for this obviously talented artist. The painting, 17" by 13" inside the mat and 23" by 20" framed, is in amazingly fresh condition considering it was painted nearly 100 years ago. The paper is not yellowed and there is no foxing. The frame is contemporary and in excellent condition...

For your Colorado ski cabin, a contemporary (maybe as early as the 1970's) watercolor and gouache painting, unsigned, featuring objects familiar to anyone who has gone skiing in the mountains: a packet of Kleenex for the runny noses, mittens/gloves, down jacket, lift ticket and ski trail map, tire chains, and rubber clasp to hold the skis together when walking back to the car. The work measures 18" by 14" (24" by 18" in black metal frame)...

The artist has captured with considerable skill a sight that will never be forgotten by anyone who has seen it.

Contemporary little drawing of what I believe is Pirates Alley in New Orleans' Vieux Carre, 5 1/4" by 3 1/2" inside the mats, 10" by 8 1/4" as framed (no glass, but perfect condition). The signature at bottom appears to be "FERRELL" in capital letters. This is likely a piece produced for the tourist trade, or it's by a talented visitor who wanted to capture this famous scene on paper.

Original antique English watercolor titled "Fox Gloves by Stream" signed by Joseph Poole Addey (1852-1922), dated 1889. Addey was an especially gifted watercolorist.
