This is an elegant etching in grays and black on heavy white paper (or possibly could be considered an aquatint with etching I believe), the sheet measuring 29 1/2 " by 21 1/2", in a narrow modern simple frame, crisply pencil signed by the artist, with a Chinese symbol resembling a traditional artist's stamp at lower right (possibly for the word "Ping") and numbered 41/110 at lower left, and titled "Life" in English and presumably Chinese, at lower left center...

Etching on paper, 1923, measuring 9" by 13" (15" by 18 3/4" framed---no glass), titled "La Lagune--Venise" in pencil in lower right margin, signed in pencil at lower left margin and numbered there 80 from an edition of 100, by the important artist EDGAR CHAHINE (1874-1947). The influence of Whistler's similar graphic works and drawings featuring Venice is very obvious, what with the big sky and tiny silhouettes of the buildings on the horizon far away...

Etching of the famous Chicago River surrounded by the classic skyscrapers, signed in the plate and dated 1927 at lower right, by the listed artist OTTO J. SCHNEIDER (1875-1946). The print does not appear to be pencil signed. Note the fine detail and the 1920's automobiles in the image at right corner. Schneider was born in Illinois and is most closely associated with that state. He exhibited at the Louisiana Purchase Exposition of 1904, and the Panama Pacific Exposition of 1915...

Nicolas Mignard, French, 1606-1668, "Perseus Slaying Medusa". Etching by Nicolas Mignard after the frescoes of Annibale Carracci depicting scenes from Homer's Odyssey. Plate size 9 7/8 x 17 5/8, published by Pierre Mariette in 1637, with lettering in Latin below the image. Printed on a very early watermarked laid type paper.

Original etching by Alfred Hutty (USA, SC, 1877-1954). This work is titled "St. Michael's in Sunlight" and dates from 1933. Signed in pencil l.r. and with the snail cypher. In excellent condition. Provenance: Childs Gallery Boston.

The print measures 10" by 11 3/4" inside the mat, 17" by 19" in modern day gold frame. Costigan was known for his sympathetic portrayals of what he knew and loved best, the people and countryside of upstate New York, where he lived on a farm in Orangeburg...

Stephen Parrish, American, 1846-1938, etching, "Sunset, Gloucester Harbor", image size: 4 7/8 x 8 3/4 inches, 1880, cat. Schneider 40, SP number 40, first state of two, pencil signed. A beautiful, rich impression, Parrish makes excellent use of plate tone to imbue the scene with atmosphere. The second state, which has much less ink in the sky and sea, was later published in American Etchings.

Contemporary Japanese limited edition etching titled “Jalousie” by Ryoko Hirone depicting a nearly empty seat on a bus with cropped figures at the side of the frame and an abandoned umbrella. A crowded street is visible through the window next to a British Airways advertisement. Pencil-signed, titled, and numbered 10/30 in the lower margin. The original purchase price of $175 is at the bottom margin corner. Paper size 25 1/2" x 18 3/8" (plate: 19" x 15 1/4"). Very good overall condition...
