Born in Paris in 1830, Dumaige studied sculpture under Féuchère and Dumont. He exhibited his sculptures depicting groups, statues, and busts at the Salon from 1862-1877. . He sculpted a large number of busts, groups and statuettes in marble, plaster and bronze, including statuettes of Desmoulins and Rabelais. He died at St-Gilles-Croix-de-Vié in 1888...

A very fine bust-length depiction done in watercolor on organic wafer. The sitter, a nice looking young gentleman, is attired in a blue waistcoat, a tan and red pin-striped vest, and a white cravat. The painting is signed "Peat" at the left edge, and an old inscribed label attached verso identifies sitter as "Lord Halifax II"...

A fine color etching, "Park Avenue", circa 1929, by the noted Austro-Hungarian etcher, painter, and printmaker Luigi Kasimir (1881-1962). The scarce vintage print is in apparent excellent condition (not examined out of frame). Measurements are 17 3/4" by 11 1/4" inside the mat, 26" by 19" framed. Kasimir is known today largely for his prints of street and city scenes in both Europe and America, rendered in fine detail, as color etchings, a process in which he was a pioneer...

An original ink and watercolor painting of buildings and street activities in old Vienna, signed at lower right, not dated but circa 1910, by listed Austrian artist MAX NEUBAUER (1876-1920). The scene features a street car, a horse-drawn carriage, market stalls, elegant figures in period dress, children, dogs and antique buildings. At bottom is the word "Freihaus". The work measures 7 1/2" by 15 1/2" (13 1/2" by 22" in old framing, shipped without glass)...

A beautiful miniature portrait of a young man, done by William Egley. The painting is in a stickpin mounted elaborate gold case, with engraving on the reverse identifying the sitter as "John McDonnell Webb/August 1839". A plait of hair is in the glazed rear aperture.

Both the painting and case are in excellent condition, with no issues. The spots in the photos are due to external dust...
