This is an original oil on canvas painting of an Ox and Cart coming down the road. The painting has 3 intials lower right, they seem to read: "W. ?. S." Weve been unable to make out who the artist was. We feel the painting is from the late 1890's and is most likely American in origin. The painting was expertly done. The canvas laid on board measures 19X13 inches and is in a 19th century gilt frame.

A charming antique oil on canvas of a young girl cozied up in a doghouse with a snoozing bull mastiff dog, signed (incised in the paint) and dated 79 (1879). The signature is JH SHARP in capital letters. For a number of years there has been confusion as to whether these 19th century dog paintings of this period were by the noted Taos, New Mexico artist Joseph Henry Sharp (1859-1953), as the signatures are very similar indeed, and the artist did study in Europe before coming to America...

A VERY FINELY DONE PORTRAIT OF RABBI BEN JOSEF SIGNED DOVICH MEASURING 30” x 26” circa 1970s
This is a very attractive impressionist work, 18" by 23 3/4" (24" by 29" as framed), unsigned, the subject a line of trees, fading sunlight filtering through them, all in a green and brown palette that seems very Arts and Crafts in feeling. I think the work was likely executed in the 1940's or thereabouts. The stretcher is new, and I am trying to decide if the painting has been lined on a newer canvas. The seller told me this work came from the recently broken up estate of Swiss-American arti...
WPA portrait of a woman by Charles Winegarner. A fantastic oil on canvas of a stoic woman with an almost cubist background. The condition is good though it shows some wear. Overall 42" by 31.5" with a .75" frame
