**One of two works by the artist in my shop**, this is an oil on board painting of what appear as houses, rendered in rich colors, and in a firmly modernist style. The painting measures 11 1/2" by 14 1/2" and 15" by 18 1/2" in early gold framing. The work is signed at lower left in the paint. On the reverse side is a fragment, in poor condition, of another painting the artist evidently executed...

Please notice the new photo which shows a stylistic monnogram on her collar. We believe this monnogram represents P J P. We will be doing more research on this monnogram. We are researching this exceptional 16th century portrait of Mary, Queen of Scots (1542-1567). This oil on panel measures 20" x 17". The frame label reads Mary Queen of Scots by Pieter Pourbus 1510-1584. The frame and panel appears to be original. If you need detail photos, please advise.

Oil on masonite portrait of a classic man of Bavaria with his traditional hat and shirt, 15 1/2" by 14" (23 1/2" by 21 1/2" framed), signed at upper left corner and dated 47 by the well listed German artist ANDREAS MITTERFELLER (1912-1972). The artist created traditional horizontal format landscape works which appear frequently at auction in Germany, but I see only a very few portraits or genre works in the records...

A fine and intriguing painting by the well regarded Ohio artist, Emerson Burkhart (1905-69). Probably dating from the 1960's. This painting measures about 20" by 16", overall frame about 22 1/2" by 18 1/2". Interesting subject and composition. Signed on back and front as shown.

Henri Duvieux, 1855-1882, French. This oil on panel is 13 1/2" by 17 3/8" in an original 2 1/2" gold leaf frame. Duvieux is known for his Venetian Scenes. It is signed lower right. Private Collection Midwest, Doyle Auction, NY, Private Collection. Henri Duvieux was an artist influenced by the interest in Orientalism, a widespread preoccupation of many artists of the mid to late-nineteenth century...

A Very Fine Korean Bird/Flower Hanging Painting by 심전(心田), 안중식 (安中植) (1861~1919) Korean, late 19th century, hanging scroll/an Original Box with 安中植) written on a label. Painted in ink and color with a duck, sorghum, peonies and camellia flowers on silk, with inscription with poem, signature-心田, two seals, 安中植 and 心田 each painting. It is in very good condition but some it measures 81.5x27.5cm

A very finely done Oil on canvas by the French artist Aisse, signed and dated 1958, Risse known for his floral still life paintings began his career as a painter at young age of 12 Exhibiting throughout his native country this work measures 18 x 15“ and a beautiful. Frame that measures 28x22”

An attractive composition for "GINZA", an Original Acrylic Painting on stretched canvas by SWISS ARTIST Michael Maync. Signed and dated by artist on the back of the canvas. No reference. Size: 27.5" x 20" inches (70 cm x 50 cm). Can be hung in any direction you like, and shipped economically, rolled up in a tube if you wish.

Oil on canvas painting of a tabby cat, 7" by 5" (12" by 10" framed), circa 1970 to 1980 judging from the framing, signed lower right "Jody". The artist was certainly talented; the likeness of the cat to reality is well above average. Condition is excellent. Needs to be nailed more tightly into frame.

A watercolor painting featuring a panoramic view of the eastern Sierra Nevada peaks, signed at lower left by California artist Dolores Manning. The 10" by 14" work (16" by 20" in gold metal framing) is by a woman artist who recently passed away in Malibu, California. A number of her works were available for purchase at the estate sale. Apparently she had lived in the San Francisco Bay area (Moraga, CA labels on the reverse of several) and also in the area around Lake Tahoe...

Oil on canvas painting of a calf standing in a tawny meadow, 12" by 12" (15 1/4" by 15 1/4" in simple wood frame), signed at lower left "Hutcheson". This is a simple yet competently painted work by an artist whose identity remains unknown to me. I have searched online and feel this could be by a female Arkansas artist, but that would be just a guess. Condition is excellent.
