Window with Flower pots, by Anne Lane oil on canvas 36x48 inch, 52x40 inch frame size….. Anne Lane studied art at George Mason University in Virginia, completed her education at Saint Patrick’s college, Ireland, where she studied theology and philosophy. The tonal and contemplated intensity of her paintings reflect her 10 years spent working as an artist under the desert sun of New Mexico. Her vibrant style, resonant with color and baroque in detail, swoons its delight over her canvases...
A subtly elegant watercolor and ink drawing on a rice-type traditional paper, the subject bare autumn or winter trees around a small body of water, the work signed in characters at lower left, also signed in English "Jim Zhang", and bearing at upper left the red seal of the artist. Measuring 19" by 19 1/2" (28" by 28" in blond wood framing, behind Plexi), the work is tradtional while being contemporary at the same time. Condition is excellent...
A nicely crafted oil on wood panel painting of an ancient castle or coastal fortification, likely Italy, signed at lower left "Tiboni". The piece measures 7" by 11" (13" by 16 1/4" nicely framed). The work was likely created in the 1950's or 1960's. Written in pencil on reverse is "70 Pounds" (actually, symbol for British Pounds). A light cleaning would be beneficial but not mandatory. The piece is of a nice size that would fit many smaller walls.

Dauchot was born at Gargan-Livry near Paris May 10, 1926. His father was an architect. He began painting at age fourteen, encouraged by his parents. After attending the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, he followed the advice of Yves Brayer and Othon Friesz. He admires Utrillo and Soutine...
Eric de Kolb surrealist painting depicting a large puffer fish among a sea of nymphs , acrylic on Masonite, signed lower right. 16 H X 18.5" W.
frame: 20" X 23 good condition could use a cleaning.
Oil on canvas, 19" by 27" (25" by 32 1/2" framed), signed in red at lower right L. (LUIGI) PAPALUCA. Papaluca is THE SON OF an artist who died in 1934, known for his depictions of the great sailing ships; works by the son, who emigrated to the United States, are very decorative and popular among collectors of marine art. The painting is in good condition with the exception of several lightly abraded areas, seen in the photos in the sails at left (and one at right portion of sails)...
Watercolor painting of autumnal tree in a landscape, 21" by 14", unframed, signed at lower left Virginia Dicken and on reverse is written "Autumn Gold". I do not see information on an artist by that name but she was obviously familiar with watercolor technique, including wet-on-wet technique visible at upper right. Presently the work is taped at edges to a mat (can and should be removed). Condition is excellent; just frame it.
Watercolor on paper painting of a lone figure in a clearing surrounded by summer trees, unframed, 9 1/4" by 14", signed at lower left "S.J YARD. 97. JUNE." This is an eastern-looking work though the subject is almost certainly somewhere in Northern California. Yard was born in Rockford, Illinois where he was able to become introduced to art. Still young, after further art study in New York, he moved to London, coming under the tutelage of Royal Academician Sutton Palmer...

THE OLD MILL NEAR SNOWDON” by English artist Frederick W. Watts (7 October 1800 – 4 July 1870)[1][2] was an English landscape painter influenced by Constable. He has been known as "Frederic William Watts", "Frederick Waters Watts", "William Watts" or "William Frederick Watts"...
A wonderful English watercolor miniature on natural wafer, painted by Ozias Humphry. The gentleman depicted is clearly of the upper class, dressed in a dusty rose colored jacket with a lace collar, a style worn in England specifically in the 1765 to 1770 period...
A late 20th century watercolor painting , 10 1/2" by 14 1/2" inside the mat, 14 1/2" by 18 1/2" in gold framing, the scene three figures in front of a walled house, the figures with loads carried on heads or in traditional pole baskets. There are two red chop marks at lower right. On the reverse is a rubber stamp of Suvida Frame, and Thai lettering. The poetic work is clean and highly decorative. Allow for reflections in a few images.
22x14 in pastel on paper dated 1915 by artist H R RICHARD
Oil on canvas, 13" by 16" (17" by 20" as framed), the subject a glass compote filled with purple plums, the base surrounded by clusters of white and red currants, signed at lower left with a signature that appears to be "Bielard", "Bichard", or "Beclard" or possibly "Bulard". I don't see a listing for any such name but the artist was talented. I'd guess the age as circa 1920 to 1930's or so, judging from the technique, materials etc...

Oil on canvas laid on board, 7" by 11" and 1 1/2" wide beautiful original pie crust frame in good condition, unsigned, but without a doubt the distinctive work of noted and prolific Northern California painter RICHARD DETREVILLE (one of several works by the artist in my shop). Detreville was born in South Carolina in 1864, and by the early years of the new century, he was in Stockton publishing a magazine. Shortly thereafter he was in San Francisco, represented by a gallery...
Attractive, nicely worked pastel landscape of California in the fall, 14" by 17 3/4" (24" by 27 1/2" presently in gold metal frame), signed at lower left "Dorothy Dennison" and dated there 1962. The piece is very clean and fresh. The artist was obviously a skilled practitioner when it came to this difficult to master medium.
Gouache and watercolor abstract painting, 10 1/2" by 7 1/2" (17 3/4" by 14" in quality ash wood, deep poster box-style contemporary framing), signed in pencil at lower right by artist ANN THORNYCROFT (1944-) and dated there 1992. The work is very light and ephemeral and would fit right into any modern-leaning setting. Thornycroft was born in England and educated in art there, but found herself in New York by 1969 and Venice, California by 1972, where she remains...
