A gouache on paper painting of a traditional Russian church, 9 1/2" by 7 1/2" (16 3/8" by 13 1/4" in simple light simulated wood frame), not apparently signed but with a few penciled words in Russian on the reverse side. Nicely executed by a talented hand. Note the four pointed "Christmas star" at upper right. At lower left corner there is a diagonal crack in the paper, not a significant issue.

You would not necessarily have to frame this before hanging it on the wall. Condition is excellent.

Small contemporary unframed painting, 10" by 8", signed at lower right "Harper", of a classic old late Victorian gingerbread house, complete with the turret rooms and wraparound porch that was so common in homes built during that period.
