This is an original drypoint etching by French artist Alphonse Legros (1837-1911) The title of this work is: La Ferme De Labbaye (farm at the monastery) Created and printed circa 1880, this image measures 8 1/2X11 1/8 inches. Hand signed and titled in pencil. Printed on a medium weight wove type paper with a partial watermark.
Master Artist Jean Volang, was born in Vietnam in 1921 and began his painting at an early age when he was taught by a French born teacher who later told him to paint in France, especially Paris where he could make his mark in the world. Never forgetting his roots of his beloved Vietnam, his most celebrated works are of his memories there. This is one of his most celebrated lithographs. Signed and an ARTIST PROOF. 29” x 24”

This image was created and printed in 1949 and was the presentation print of The Printmakers Society of California. The original information sheet is included. Catalog reference: Gaunt 245. Edition of 54. Pencil signed in the lower right. Sir Frank Brangwyn was one of the most important British artists of the early 20th century. A member of the Royal Academy, the Royal Watercolor Society, and the Royal Society of British Artists, he was knighted in 1924.
A large lithograph print, the sheet 28 1/2" by 22 3/4", unframed, signed at center right with his monogram "JR" and star symbol, dated there 1950. This is a work of American illustrator artist JAMES REYNOLDS (1896-1996). The imagery of flowers and leaves reminds of the work of American twentieth century artist Charles Burchfield. Reynolds is often confused in art auction records and biographies with western American contemporary artist James Reynolds.
