The Melton Breakfast circa 1800, First published by Hodgson & Graves, Pall Mall, on 1st October 1839. The dimensions of this photogravure differ somewhat from those of the original mezzotint and the names of the characters portrayed are engraved in the margin of this later version. The print depicts a group of eminent visitors to Melton for the hunting season. Many were guests at the big houses in the locality, others lodged elsewhere...
A winter scene print by noted watercolorist and illustrator, Howard Watson. Watson was the "Artist in Residence" at the White House during the Carter Administration.There are tiny thumbtack punctures at the very end corners of the print(not impacting the print and not visible). Professionally framed, the print measures approximately 23" x 20" (probably larger but not measured out of frame). The frame itself is 28-1/2" x 25".

This is an original pencil-signed artist's proof (marked A.P. in the lower left margin) for an image that was likely produced in a limited edition of 100. An example of the scarce "sur blanc" lithograph prints of famed French caricaturist and satirist artist HONORE DAUMIER (1808-1879), the 1851 print from the "Actualites" series, and Le Charivari. It is beautifully hand colored, with gum arabic highlights in the dark areas of the central figure's robe. Not examined out of the frame, it appears very clean and fresh (happy to examine out of frame upon request)...

Etching on very thin paper, "Charles Baudelaire, de Face", 1865, later, likely posthumous impression, by the famous French artist EDOUARD MANET (1832-1883). The work measures 3 3/4" by 3 1/4" inside the plate mark, and the sheet measures 8 1/4" by 6 1/4". This is Guerin #38 in the catalogue raisonne, and probably the 4th (final) state. The paper being very thin and flimsy, would lead me to believe this would NOT be a twentieth century restrike. There is a simple modern frame...
