Fred Farrell, European, 20th Century, Etching, "Village by a Lake", image size: 10 1/4x19 1/4 inches, pencil signed

Engraving, by the noted AEGIDIUS SADELER (1570-1629), possibly titled "Cottage Partly Built on Piles", from set of six landscapes, after a painting by the noted Flanders Golden Age artist, ROELANT SAVERY (1576-1639). Savery was an important Old Master of the Netherlands, and his original paintings sell for large sums at auction. Sadeler was a talented engraver, in demand by various artists who wished to have their original works translated into graphics...

John Austin Sands Monks, American, 1850-1917, "Herd Returning Home". This is an atmospheric original etching of a herd of sheep by American artist John Austin Sands Monks. Image size 11 x 16 1/2 inches, c. 1880s, shepherd's crook remarque in the lower right corner, pencil signed. A rich impression with beautiful plate tone and ample margins on Japan paper.

Printed by Delatre in Paris, this Felix Bracquemonde frontispiece measures 14 x 9 3/4 inches, published by Alfred Cadart, Paris. Created in 1865, this bold allegorical etching was created as the frontispiece to a volume of the renowned periodical of the Société des Aqua-Fortistes, a group promoting etching as a fine art. Richly inked on watermarked Aqua-Fortistes laid paper, which was made especially for these publications.

Albert W. Barker, American, 1874-1947, "Upper Barn, Winter," etching, 8 3/4 x 7 1/2 inches on 14 x 11 1/2 inch watermarked wove type paper. C. 1932. Initialed and dated on stone in the lower right, pencil signed in the lower right. Edition of 55. Catalog: Barker 122. The dark outline of the barn, with its modernistic texture and shadows, contrasts with the luminous winter sky. One of Barker's best prints.

Louis Auguste Mathieu Legrand, French, 1863-1951, "Le Mee". This is a very fine original etching with beautiful plate tone by French artist Louis Legrand. The image size is 5 7/8 x 8 1/4 inches, published in 1911 in an edition of 50 impressions, cat: Arwas- 426, state II/II, pencil signed.

A fine 20th C. print variously titled Red Fuji; Fine Wind; Clear Weather, and Gaifû kaisei, originally create by Japanese wood block artist Katsushika Hokusai, c. 1830 as part of the monumental 36 Views of Mount Fuji. Although this print has not been examined outside of its frame, it appears to be in superb condition with bright vivid color...

Chamberlain and Kingsland-107, pencil signed, numbered and titled. This scene of Bellefontain, Ile-de-France, exhibits Chamberlain's ability to create subtle gradation in plate tone.

A rare, finely crafted woodblock print in the Arts and Crafts style of the early 20th century, titled at lower left "Marigold", by German artist ILSE KOCH-AMBERG (1869-1934), measuring 6 1/2" by 6 1/2" in side the mat and 12 1/2" by 12" framed. The work features her monogram in the image, and is signed in pencil by the artist at lower right; in addition, the paper features a blind stamp including the word "Berlin" at lower left margin...

Diana Thorne, American, b. 1895, "Russians". An energetic image of a young woman walking her two Russian wolfhounds, this etching measures 5 7/8 x 7 7/8 inches, c. 1930, pencil signed below the image, titled on the lower margin. Diana Thorne was a well known early 20th century artist and illustrator, known especially for her etchings of dogs and illustrations of numerous children's books.

To her right, Fredie, subject in Fredie du Cafe "Le Lapin Agile" and of Le Poete regarded by Heintzelman as the last of the great Montartre singers, Young man with the guitar is Fredie's son.
