A unique piece that transcends art and entertainment.........a color poster advertising the November 13, 1989 sale of the famous Billy Wilder art collection at Christie's auction house in New York City. At lower right in blue marker, Wilder wrote "For Bianca---a true pearl/Billy Wilder Oct. 89". A PAIR of pencil signed prints, one titled "Hearts and Flowers", the other "Summer Symphony", both pencil signed at lower right by noted highly collected American 20th century folk art artist JANE WOOSTER SCOTT (1920-). "Hearts and Flowers" is numbered 815/1375, and "Summer Symphony" is numbered in Roman Numerals "CCCLXXXVII/CD" (387/400). "Hearts and Flowers" has a certificate on the reverse side from Scott Arts Graphics, stating the edition size and the 1994 date of printing...

By the noted illustrator artist RICHARD STINE (1941-) this is a print, "Mad woman trying to bury delicate feelings once and for all", hand signed in blue ball point at lower left. This does not seem to be a limited edition but it is hand signed. Stine is a familiar name due to his uniquely humorous and whimsical images, which though cartoonish delve into philosophy, and, an online description writes, "love, art, freedom, isolation, desire, conflict, dreams, creativity"...

In the early 1980s Haku Maki produced this unusual print, Poem 3. It has a kanji bottom margin (Mountain and Water) and is only slightly embossed. It is as if he started to do a lithograph and then decided to emboss it a bit. It is a modest-size print and not spectacular. By the time he did this print Maki had finished with embossed kanji and ceramics and was heading toward less compelling work.Poem 3 has a gold sun right center, but the print has no drama and no oomph. 15x15cm.
