Vintage hazy focus, colorized photo of coastal Santa Monica, looking north and west towards Malibu, 11 1/2" by 9 5/8" as framed in pleasing Southwest style design wood frame. On the frame reverse is written in and old hand in ink "Santa Monica Bay" and "No. 5044". This was found in Connecticut and I recently brought it back home. This is an image of a young African-American boy grinning while leaning against a building, the image mounted on a board signed by the photographer, Arthur S. Little. After googling the name I find that around the late 'teens and early twenties, there was a photographer in Los Angeles and Ventura by that name, though he does not seem to have had a high profile. I do not believe that this is an original photograph. The item is in good condition...

Original simply framed pencil signed lithograph black/white print on thin tissue-like paper, 7 3/4" by 11" inside the mat, sheet 12 1/2" by 19 1/2", as framed circa 1925, titled "Nelle-la-Vallee, la route", by the famous and important French modern artist MAURICE de VLAMINCK (1876-1958). This lithograph is clearly signed in pencil lower right by the artist. One of his images from his circus series.

Something of a mystery piece......a black and white photo, 12 5/8" by 11" including thin margins on three sides, (in a temporary protective-only frame), unsigned and unattributed, in a frame which bears old Christie's Los Angeles photo department sale and lot information that does not correspond with the image (I checked with Christie's photographs dept). The image of the moving train is in black and white though there is a hint of a pink/violet tint in a portion of the train sides...

This etching is hand signed in pencil with an image size of 10 1/16X13 5/8. This image is inscribed lower right: "Beautiful impression, pulled by D.S. and J.T.A." Inscribed also as artist proof number III. Printed on a J. Whatman watermarked laid type paper. A beautiful impression.
