After a drawing by the noted French artist JEAN-FRANCIS AUBURTIN (1866-1930), this is an engraving in sanguine colored ink by the noted Swiss artist GEORGES AUBERT (1886-1961). Both artists have signed their names in pencil, Auburtin at the left and Aubert at the right. The work measures approximately 14" on a side within the mat opening (not examined out of frame), and 20" by 18 1/2" as framed...

Picasso photolithograph poster for an exhibition held in early 1956 at the Galerie Lucie Weill in Paris. The measurements are 24 1/2" by 16 3/4". There is a narrow inexpensive black frame, and no glass. On the reverse of the framing materials is written in pencil, "Picasso/Papiers colles dessin M.F./photolitho 67 x 46 cm./1000 copies"...

On the backing is an old label of Jamin Editions of Van Nuys, California, who may have issued this print. Dimensions inside the mat are 25 1/2" by 19 1/2" (32 1/2" by 26 3/4" in brushed aluminum metal frame). The image was created for the 1970 Sala Pelaires exhibition, Palma de Mallorca...

The title is Eggemoggin Reach, created and printed in 1940 in an edition of 250 signed proofs. The image measures 6X10 inches, hand signed lower right in pencil. This wood engraving was published by Associated American Artists in New York. Very fine condition.

Peter Moran, American, 1842-1914, "Through the Meadows". This is a beautiful, richly inked original etching by Peter Moran, image size 13 x 19 7/8 inches, published in 1886 by Klackner. It is state IV/IV, cat: Wright-92, pencil signed and titled on the lower margin. This image is listed with the title "Through the Meadow Stream" in the Wright catalog, although there are several alternate titles including the one that appears on this impression.

Francis Dodd was born in Wales and trained at the Glasgow School of Art winning the Haldane Scholarship in 1893 enabling him to travel and study in France, Italy and Spain.
