This is an original pencil signed etching by British artist David Young Cameron. It is titled: A Dutch Farm, art of his North Holland Set. This etching was created and printed in 1892. The image measures 4 5/16 X 8 15/16 inches.Printed on an early laid type sheet with collectors stamp lower corner of the border. This etching came to us with 1/8 inch margins on three sides.

This c. 1877 drypoint on copper measures 6 x 9 inches, pencil signed, cat: Schneiderman-152, III/V, artist proof. Sir Francis Seymour Haden was one of the most important British etchers of the 19th century, along with his brother in law James Whistler. In addition to being a highly regarded artist he was a successful surgeon, accomplished author and dedicated angler. He was a founder and the first president of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers, and was knighted in 1894.

Pennell was an important American etcher, lithographer and illustrator. Good friends with James McNeill Whistler, he and his wife co-authored his biography. Anthony Van Dyck, European, 1599-1641, "Adrianus Stalbent". This is an original engraving by Paulus Pontius after the painting by Anthony Van Dyck. The image size is 9 5/8 x 6 3/4 inches, c. 1700s, inscribed "Ant. van Dyck pinxit" and "Paul. du pont sculpt" in the lower left margin, with the title and a phrase in Latin below the image, with the original Kennedy Gallery label. Stalbent was a Flemish landscape painter and friend of Anthony Van Dyck when this portrait was painted...
Plate signed etching, 13" by 10 1/4" inside the mat, the sheet 16" by 13 3/4", titled "Rue de la Glaciere", 1937, by the famous and important French modern artist MAURICE de VLAMINCK (1876-1958). The original edition is given as 400 or 500 examples; later restrikes might exist. I do not know if this might be one of them. The paper is very thin and delicate and appears ribbed as would laid style paper. I do not see any watermarks...

William Woollett, British, 1735-1785, "Solitude," Engraving by William Woollett after the painting by R. Wilson, image size 15 1/4 x 21 inches, published June 4 1778, titled "Solitude" with a remarque of a shield in the lower center margin. This is a rare early proof before additional lettering.
Japanese limited edition copperplate etching titled “Kyoto #7: Kozan-ji” by Tanaka Ryohei (1933-2019). Pencil-signed, dated '96, and numbered 141/150 in the lower margin. The title in kanji is at the bottom left margin. Paper: 11 5/8" x 10 1/4" (image: 6 3/8" x 8"). Very good overall condition with a possible faintly visible smudge in the upper left margin corner. There are a few distressed fibers on the back, but the print does not appear to have been previously framed.

This is an elegant etching in grays and black on heavy white paper (or possibly could be considered an aquatint with etching I believe), the sheet measuring 29 1/2 " by 21 1/2", in a narrow modern simple frame, crisply pencil signed by the artist, with a Chinese symbol resembling a traditional artist's stamp at lower right (possibly for the word "Ping") and numbered 41/110 at lower left, and titled "Life" in English and presumably Chinese, at lower left center...

Samuel Arlent Edwards was born in 1862 in Somerset, England. He studied art and architecture at the Kensington Museum Art School from 1877 to 1881, and then continued studies in engraving with Appleton, Josey & Alais in London.
