This is a fine etching of a figure on the coast balancing a load on her head as she gazes out to sea at a clipper ship in full sail, a coconut palm leaning exotically at left...

Aquatint on paper laid on board, 1924, "Le Village d'Herouville", 18 3/4 " by 24" inside the mat, and 26 1/4" by 31" framed, after an original by the famous and important French modern artist MAURICE de VLAMINCK (1876-1958), adopted for reproduction by equally noted artist Jacques Villon (11875-1963). Vlaminck is known as a Fauvist and later simply as an expressionist. At auctions, his works in oil bring from the low hundreds of thousands of dollars to the low millions...

Decorative old engraving of early New York, printed in Paris, circa 1850, with quality contemporary framing and hand drawn mat lines. This lovely print is ready to hang in your traditional fine interior. The print is exceptionally clean and fresh as is the mat (photo shows what appears as a scratch in glass at upper left, it was simply foreign matter I removed easily after the photo). The work bears a label of Summa Gallery, Brooklyn Heights, New York. Measurements 12 1/4" by 13 1/4".

John Taylor Arms 1887-1953 American This is a fine award winning etching by American artist John Taylor Arms. The title is: Reflections at Finchingfield, it was created and printed in 1938. From his English Series, this is the 2nd state of two, printed by David Strang in an edition of 100 as inscribed on the etching lower left also hand signed and dated in pencil lower right border. The image measures 4 13/16X4 7/16 inches. It was created and printed in 1926 and appears in the Dodgson catalog as image number 65. It was printed in an edition of 60.

Arthur Heintzelman, American, 1891-1965, drypoint etching, "Convalescence", image size: 12 x 9 1/4 inches, 1926, cat. Smith-128, edition of 80, pencil signed lower right. Heintzelman's skill captures this tender moment between a mother and child. A fine impression with ample margins. Provenance: Baldwin-Wallace College.

A winter scene print by noted watercolorist and illustrator, Howard Watson. Watson was the "Artist in Residence" at the White House during the Carter Administration.There are tiny thumbtack punctures at the very end corners of the print(not impacting the print and not visible). Professionally framed, the print measures approximately 23" x 20" (probably larger but not measured out of frame). The frame itself is 28-1/2" x 25".

Black and white original photo of ballerinas, variously titled "Ballerinas in a Dressing Room", or "Ballerinas Backstage, American Ballet Theater in New York", 1937, by the noted American photographer ALFRED EISENSTAEDT (1898-1995). The photo was likely printed much later (many of Eisenstaedt's images were re-printed years after they were originally created). The photo was acquired at the 2016 sale of property of Charlton and Lydia Heston, held at their notable home on Coldwater Canyon...
