David Teniers the Younger (Dutch 1610-1690) copper plate engraving of men and perhaps a woman gathered around a table in a house with a rough floor, a bed alcove and some implements on shelves and hooks. The focus of the print is a man playing a violin while a standing man with drink in hand addresses him, perhaps singing, as is a seated man. Another man, behind the musician, reads and possibly sings from what looks like a broadside...

An example of the lithograph "Cecile's Chastity", from the series "Three Plays from the Marquis de Sade", issued in 1969, signed in pencil lower right, numbered 52/160 at lower left, by the world-famous surrealist artist SALVADOR DALI (1904-1989). The unframed sheet measures 25 1/2" by 19 1/2". The image area is clean and problem-free, though I note significant browning and staining in the margins, the outline of a previous mat clearly visible. A rare etching of one of New York area's bridges, depicted in an interesting phase of its construction, pencil signed by American etcher artist RALPH PEARSON (1883-1958). The work measures 10 3/4" by 15 1/4" inside the mat and 17 1/2" by 21" as framed. The artist titled it at lower left "#69 Hell Gate Bridge" and inscribed it in pencil at lower margin "To Harold Swartz--Artist". (Harold Swartz appears to refer to the Los Angeles/New Mexico sculptor, born 1887, died 1948)...
