Numbered 3/8 (although we believe only 3 or 4 were cast), signed "McFall", and with the foundry mark of "Fiorini & Carney Founders London". In excellent original condition. The whitewashed, luminous look overall reminds of works by noted artists Andre Gisson, Emilio Grau Sala, Charles Cobelle and the Dufy brothers (Jean and Raoul), as well as other artists of the so-called School of Paris. A superb gouache drawing of a Navajo rider and two horses in a red Southwest landscape, signed at lower right by the noted Navajo artist, JUSTIN TSO (1948-). The 11 5/8" by 10 1/4" drawing is double matted, (18" by 16 1/2" framed), the mat shape rather complex and interesting. Tso is known since the early 1980's for his stylized drawings of the Navajo people, their prized horses, and their unique dramatic landscape...

The artist painted in New England and specifically on Nantucket so this could well be coastal New England. The watercolor is signed at lower left by the listed Ohio and Pennsylvania artist RUFUS WAY SMITH (1840-1900)...

A nicely painted waist length portrait, done on organic material, of an attractive woman with dark brown eyes and hair. The sitter, posed in front of a reddish-brown drape, is wearing a black gown with a lace collar cinched with a brooch matching her earrings. A gold chain with two pendants completes her outfit. Presented in a later gilt frame.

The painting is in excellent condition with no issues. The sight size is 2 1/2" by 2" and the framed size is 5 1/2" by 4 1/2".

A really nicely done watercolor on heavy watercolor paper, the subject a New York Central Park view, the artist evidently looking south across a lake towards the famous San Remo Apartments residential building with its distinctive towers. Signed at lower right in Asian (Chinese?) characters and with red artist seal there, also signed and stamped again on the reverse side, where it is titled "Evening at Central Park #13" and dated March 31, 2008...
