Mid Century Sci Fi oil on canvas of a card dealer wearing a dealers visor and a green cardigan sweater said to be magazine cover from a 1950s sci fi publication. We bought this and another we are listing in the late 1990 in Los Angeles , the seller didn't remember the artist name but said the artist was an early Sci Fi artist . the painting is unsigned in good condition though could use a cleaning. Etching, 4 3/4" by 6 5/8" inside the mat, 10" by 12 1/2" in simple black strip frame, titled in pencil at left margin "A Bermuda Lane" and signed in margin in pencil at lower right by artist RAY ALLEN. I do not see a listing for an artist of this name. The work likely dates to about the 1950's I would think, and is probably still in its original frame. The impression is strong, with a distinct plate mark. Disregard false yellow colors in some of the photos, which are an effect of the camera....
