The artist was born in La Paz, Bolivia, and was in Europe while very young, receiving art instruction. She trained in printmaking under Johnny Friedlaender. By the mid 1960's she had already received recognition for her work, and in 1979 the UNICEF organization utilized her imagery in a poster...

A finely painted portrait of a beautiful young woman, done in watercolor on natural wafer. The sitter, identified on the reverse as "Wife of Dr. Kent" is attired in a simple white gown, with no jewelry or other embellishments shown, and is presented against a multicolored background.

The painting is in excellent condition, with no flaws to speak of. The later case shows some wear, and has a cardboard or leather backing. Overall size is 2 5/8" by 2 1/8".

A beautifully crafted oil on board painting of a barge and its brightly painted bow at a river dock in Europe, 13 3/4" by 17" (19 1/2" by 23" in inexpensive modern frame). signed at lower left by master Hungarian artist ERVIN KORMENDI-FRIM (1885-1939). A number of small figures, a bridge span, and distant buildings complete the richly-painted scene. The distinct structure at center right in the distance could provide a clue as to where in Europe this might be...

A pencil signed color etching (aquatint), 11 1/4" by 9 3/4" (25" by 22 1/2" framed) by the major French-born artist ANDRE MASSON (1896-1987), numbered at lower left margin 43/50. The title is "Ame Errante" (Wandering Soul) and the work was published in the year 1973. Masson's major oil paintings have exceeded $900,000 at auction, with many over the $500,000 mark, yet his signed prints remain inexplicably affordable...

BARTON STONE HAYS (1826-1914) was born in Ohio, and he came to be associated with the Midwest throughout his life, becoming a leading portrait painter in Indianapolis, and finally, coming to be known for his still life works, based out of Minneapolis, after 1882. Joseph Fernand Henri Leger 1881-1955 French This is a fine Stencil lithograph by French artist Fernand Leger, Portrait of Nadia, the artist's wife. Created 1959 published by the artist's wife in 300 impressions.A wonderful expressive image printed to the edges of the sheet, the artist name appears within the image lower right, plate signed. A couple of minor abrasions in the image, but over all very presentable.. The image measures 19 3/4X15 3/4 inches.

Oil on canvas laid on a card, unstretched, signed at lower right corner "C Vianello". The subject is an older lady seated in a darkened interior, obviously deep in thought. The work measures 13" by 10 1/4". It is sorely in need of some restoration, as it was laid long ago on a card which is now bent and cracked. The surface though stable is dry, and there is soiling and no varnish present...

They appear to have been framed in the 1950's or 1960's at latest and remain sealed since then. I believe the signatures to be authentic and will stand by that being the case...
