Beautiful oil of the Tripple Crown Race Winner Secretariat, dated 1992.

Watercolor on paper of wildflowers in a ceramic vessel, and what appear to be cherries in the foreground, 19 3/4" by 15 1/2" as framed, signed at lower right with a signature that looks like "M. Bals-Werthmann" or similar, and dated there 1944. I don't see a listing for that name or variants I have tried. The artist, working during the darkest days of World War II, must have been wanting to try to bring a little brightness to grim times...

This long blue print is number 91 of an edition of 154 and measures 29 in. x 14 in.

In 1976 Haku Maki did his eight-volume San Mon Ban--a total of 96 different embossed images. These included many items Maki had just used, would use soon and used later. I first show images of two prints like those in San Mon Ban but slightly larger. Then two images of insects in San Mon Ban and then 4 images of insects long hidden in my archives--even to me. These might all be called Maki Lite...

A well done miniature portrait painting on natural organic material, with the sitter being Bishop William White. This piece was done based on the original work painted in enamel on copper by William Birch in 1830. This example kept very true to the original.

The painting is in excellent condition, as is its original velvet travel case, although the photo is not of the highest quality...

Jean Louis Forain 1852-1931 French This is a very rare original drypoint etching by French artist Jean-Louis Forain, the title is C'est Fini, this drypoint was created and printed circa 1890, there was a later Verticle composition with the same name. This image measures 9 1/2X12 inches. Printed on a medium weight laid type sheet,. Weve been unable to find another example of this scarce drypoint. Hand signed in pencil lower right.

An original oil on canvas painting, circa 1970's, signed lower left by the noted American artist CHARLES BRAGG (1931-2017). The work measures 16" by 20" and is housed in a nice quality frame, measuring 23" by 27". Painting and frame are both in excellent condition. Bragg of course was a well-known, prolific artist best known via his hilarious prints...

One of 12 lithographs published by Ackermann London, in 1840/41 as part of a portfolio, “12 Views in the Interior of Guiana.” The original sketches were made by John Morrison who accompanied Sir Robert Hermann Schomburgk on the exploration into what would become British Guiana. The painting should probably be reframed, as the cream liner is soiled. The painting has some yellowed varnish but otherwise is in good condition.
