Maya began creating purses in 1985. Beautiful from the start, her purses have become more intricate and glamorous with each passing year. This purse is from her latest collection and shows butterfly, flower and dragonfly designs imbedded in the resin body of the purse. Maya's resin purse imitates snakeskin very beautifully. There is a lot going on here: metal butterflies, topaz rhinestones, crystals and tiger eye stones. 6 1/2 wide, 4" high,2 1/4" deep, chain 46" end to end.

The look of ancient ivory, antiqued copper-tone metal framing and antiqued gold plate chain, all these in Maya's lovely purse. This iconic, rare black lacquer Elsa Peretti buckle was done early in her career as a jewelry designer. We're not sure if it was done for Tiffany & Co, or earlier when she was designing jewelry for Halston. The buckle measures 3 1/2" (9.4cm) across at the widest point and from the top curve to the point. Maya presents this beautiful golden color in her carved resin purse. The color is enhanced by the carnelian and onyx beads, and the faceted crystals and rhinestones, both on the purse and on the chain. The purse is 8" by 4 1/2" and 2" front to back. The chain is 44" end to end.

A lusterous acrylic surface on this sophisticated resin purse by Maya.The design, resembling snake skin, is actually leaf bark from the Philippines. Ornate chain has faceted semi-precious stones and crystals and can be detached and worn as a necklace. Inside of purse is done in a matte black to contrast with the sleek outside surface.
