This great belt buckle is made of scrimshaw ivory with a great clipper ship nautical theme. It features a clipper ship and old boathouse. It measures 2 1/4" x 1 1/2". It is totally encased in sterling silver with a great design. The artist carved his intials at the bottom right - DC - and has the maker's mark on the back. A whimsical swirled enamel sewing kit etui with original blue silk tassel, circa 1930, Made in Germany The brass base etui multicolored in shades of gray, white, blue and red, opens to reveal a tiny sewing kit including thread on a spool with a place for needles under the cap and a brass thimble. A 5-5/8" long sterling silver honey serving spoon and 4-1/8" sugar tongs in the Tudor Scroll flatware pattern, introduced by Birks in 1919 - it had been out of production for some time. The honey spoon has a narrow flattened rim unlike the similarly shaped sugar shell and both items are in very good condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some tiny denting to the back of the spoon and a W monogram on each piece...

Very large vase in two colors ochre and lavender with white "flame" marks between the two colors. The vase looks as if it has candles surrounding it. The interior of the vase has a smooth bump between the two colored halves suggesting the use of the incalmo technique in forming the vase. The latimo canne are embedded in either clear yellow or clear lavender glass. The vase has the purple/silver Cenedese paper label and is signed on the bottom in script...

This unusual vase is quite showy with its opalescent vaseline glass. It features a tree that surrounds the bowl in oak leaves and acorns. The bottom is a large oak leaf foot. A rare Imperial Russian cross for the Order of Saint Stanislaus, 3rd Class. As the war progressed, there was a shortage of precious metal, so military decorations were often worked in bronze, in this case gilt white bronze. The cross's four arms are decorated in deep red translucent enamel over an engraved background, while the central enameled reserve bears the letters "SS" for St. Stanislaus...

During the heyday of British Airway's service on the Concorde, VIP passengers were treated to an ever-changing variety of gifts--lugggage tags, silver decanter labels, airplane models, etc. This "Mini World Atlas" is such an example. The small book is bound in gray leather, and the front cover is embossed in silver with the Concorde logo. The pages are also gilt in silver. The book's spine is uncracked and it has never been used.
