This is a really great little vintage glass Lantern Candy Container with blue metal base and lid and wire handle. This Lantern Candy Container measures 3 1/2 inches high. With the handle up it measures 5 3/4 inches to top of handle. The glass part of the Lantern is signed: U.S.A. - AVOR 3/4 OZ. Offered is a wonderful, C1950s, Art Deco-styled, advertising store sign that features in bold capital letters the word, "COSMETICS". This sign, which originally hung in a Grand Rapids, Michigan, establishment, might well have been displayed in either a drug store or a beauty salon which sold various lines of ladies' cosmetics...

This stylish basket weave purse was quite the rage during the 1950s when Dorset Rex marketed this patented purse during the Eisenhower years. The patent was actually issued in late 1949, after which a wide range of purses entered the market. The Dorset Rex tag tells us that the purse was made after 1951, thus we date it c. 1955.

An original Mexican movie poster, for a movie released in 1952, "Mujer de Medianoche", starring Gloria Marin and Victor Junco, directed by Victor Urruchua, the artwork dated 1950 by Carlos Vega. Apparently there was some delay in releasing the film. This example retains the electric blue and yellow color, but the very fragile, acidic, thin paper on which this was printed has deteriorated seriously with time and careless handling...

An old authentic vintage California orange crate label, "Bronco", issued for product of the Redlands Foothill Groves, Redlands, California, about 70 miles east of Los Angeles. The signature and inscription are bold and nicely placed at right center. Nelson officially changed his name to "Rick" in 1961, so this might have been signed after that. The framing seems to be circa late 1960's or 1970's. Nelson was born in Teaneck, New Jersey...

Certainly the finest and most decorative vintage chocolate box we've come across! This is a c1930s-40s (we think) paper wrapped box with an applied print of two kittens on the top. The textured paper wrap is wallpaper thick with lush gold highlights, and this box has a gold Urney applique. The original tied ribbon is also present on this 13-3/4 x 9-3/4" box, which has the original sticker on the bottom (CHOCOLATES - 1-1/2 LB NET MANUFACTURED IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND)...
