This is an excellent and intricately carved very charming small netsuke, made by our own Pennsylvania native, David Carlin. He describes it as a "Small, finely detailed representation of the bottom half of a man seeming to be passing through a tombstone with "RIP" etched on it. This classic Wittnauer watch has a camel leather band. The back of the band is marked LONGINES WITTNAUER and CAMEL AUSTRIA. The face measures 1 1/4" x 3/4". The face also has the WITTNAUER name with the maker's mark below. It reads QUARTZ too. It is also numbered: EL2413 SWISS 9782. It runs wonderfully and is in excellent condition. I had some difficulty taking good pictures of this fine watch.
