This is a really nice transparent green ribbed Spice Shaker made by Hocking Glass. This Shaker measures 4 1/4 inches high and holds 8 ounces.. The glass shaker is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or cloudiness. The solid metal lid is in good, usable condition with slight dent. This is a heavy-for-its size (about six pounds) sculpture in a heavy, dark wood like mahogany (ironwood?), measuring about 10" high by about 5" on a side. In addition to the dark heavy wood, there are carved teeth of bone, and carefully applied white paint detail in the eyes. Carved into the base are the words "Ngambela Mataa". I have googled the term and it seems to be applied to a figure who was in Zambia in the late 19th century to as late as 1928, when there was some murder there...

This stylish basket weave purse was quite the rage during the 1950s when Dorset Rex marketed this patented purse during the Eisenhower years. The patent was actually issued in late 1949, after which a wide range of purses entered the market. The Dorset Rex tag tells us that the purse was made after 1951, thus we date it c. 1955.

This purse is gold with reddish-brown, possibly deep mauve, lucite top which closes with an S-hooked clasp. The horse shoe handle rotates freely on pins...

This English bone china 2-3/8" tall cup and matching 5-5/8" saucer are in the 8498 pattern and they have wide bands of lush gold over black featuring roses and aster flowers. It is trimmed and decorated in gold and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs...
