A delightful German Christmas candy container in the shape of an apple. The container is made from composition then painted and finished with a coat of wax to add a realistic soft sheen. A wick is used for the apple's stem. The interior of the pull-out base is marked "Germany."

Origin: Germany, ca. 1910. Condition: very good; a small amount of crackling to the wax only near the blossom end of the apple. Dimensions: 2.25" x 2.25" x 2.25.".

An unusual vintage Halloween wooden ratchet noisemaker decorated with a plastic black cat. This is the only old wooden ratchet we've seen with a plastic decoration. The ratchet is stained orange with a green clacker. The cat is marked "Made In Japan."

Measuring 5.75" wide x 8.25" long x 6" high, this C1890s, unique and interestingly designed school lunch box has four parts: the base, which is 4" deep, the lid, a removable handled cup cleverly fitted to the top of the lunchbox lid, and a removal interior tray to dine upon that rests on a small edge inside the base!

Constructed of tin with well-executed soldered seams and rolled edges on nearly all areas which are smooth and comfortable to the touch.

Since that time a variety of items were been produced in the image of the "Young Black boy with the Torn Hat" or "Johnny Griffin".

Vintage lithographed tin Halloween pan noisemaker, decorated in green, black, white and orange. The decorations include a witch, a ghost and a skeleton around a cauldron. The edges are decorated with jack o'lanterns, owls, bats and black cats. Marked "US Metal Toy Mfg. Co. Made In U.S.A." Very nice condition, some scratching where metal clappers hit against pan Circa 1940s. 7-7/8" long.

Fenton made this Lilly of the Valley Covered Candy in the Champagne Opalescent color in the early 2000's. It measures 9.5" tall and is 6" wide.

An interesting and scarce item for the collector of the "Beat Generation" memorabilia: an original drawing of a flower and a small self-portrait caricature, on the cover of the famous work "HOWL", (and period color photo of Ginsberg) by major Beat figure ALLEN GINSBERG (1926-1997). Ginsberg is today almost a folk figure, as the American poet who beginning in the 1950's participated in the bi-coastal movement which preceded even the Hippies...

Vintage 1968 OMEGA YELLOW Gold Plate Logo Buckle 18mm Circa: 68. Rare. Early so called "Bombay" buckle style. This style accomodates the bombay case style of the late 1950s and early 60s case style. Recently discovered inventory. This Logo buckle is unmarked, subcontracted by an authorized Omega dealer outside of Geneva, and is custom created. An early Kirk Repousse sterling berry spoon. This late 19th century sterling silver 8-7/8" berry spoon in the Repousse pattern. Stamped only STERLING with a B monogram, this spoon is most likely by Kirk who issued a flatware set in this pattern. It weighs 69.2 grams, and it is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

A rare vintage bisque jack o'lanern placecard holder and candy container. A thin slit just above the eyes holds a placecard. This is the only bisque card holder/candy container we've seen.

Measuring 6 1/2 x 11 3/4, this lovely, early 1900's, Black subject die cut by Enoch Morgan & Sons, England, features three individual Sapolio Soap die cuts used to advertise the company product. Each die cut features the head of a young black boy centered inside a piece of fruit or vegetable- a cabbage, a watermelon and a (?) pear.

Sapolio was a brand of soap noted for its unique and clever advertising, led by Artemas Ward from 1883–1908...
