The book is very slightly cocked and the pages have toning. The jacket has light wear with two small tears at the bottom and top of the spine. The red linen boards are fine. 104 hand tipped plates. 178pp.

A stated second printing written by Diane Chalmers Johnson and published by Harry Abrams NY ( 1981). This coffee table book includes 394 illustrations with 41 full color plates. There is a spot on the bottom textblock and the pastedown in the back is showing some wear but the book is intact. The jacket shows light wear with a small crease on the inside corner jacket.
