Soft bound with original dust jacket. 160 pages with 148 B/W photos, plus essays on Okinawan life and craft. Illustrations and descriptions include: baskets, pottery, textiles, farming tools, furniture, architecture, and even handmade karate weapons.

A stated Second Printing ( November 1975), published by Alfred Knopf, New York. The pages are uncut. There is light smudging and brown spots on the text block and on a few front pages as well as on the inside jacket. The cream colored boards are fine. 380pp plus index. Illustrated.

There are 25 pages of text in English, German, Dutch and French, 29 engraved plates of table wares,along with four engraved supplemental plates depicting tea and coffee ware shapes. The cover shows slight smudging and there is a tiny nick otherwise the pages are like new.

A copy of the hard cover book "VASARELY", by Gaston Diehl, published 1976 by Crown Publishers, Inc., New York, printed in Hungary that year. The book was translated from the French by Eileen B. Hennessy. Condition is typical used; acceptable; cover soiling, pages 7-8 are completely loose, with others nearby loose but still attached...
