Condition: not complete, the Nos. XXXI and XXXII of the heliogravures and chromolithographs are missing, so are the text pages 113 to 120. Some foxing on pages. Dimension: c. 38 cm x 29 cm.

There is a faint smudge on page 11, the textblock has some darkening especially at the lower corner, the back board shows some fading, and there is a small notation in pencil on the back free paper - otherwise the book is in fine condition. The earliest known stromatolite fossils are between 3.5 - 2.75 billion years old in the Precambrian period.
