Small bottle-shape vase by Dean Mullavey (Canadian, born in New Hampshire, USA, in 1927), in excellent condition. This small stoneware bottle measures 4 1/4" in height. Incised signature and chop. It was created around 1960-1961 while the artist was a member of the Clay Art Center in Port Chester, NY (all information courtesy of the artist). From a North Carolina estate. One of four early works by this artist currently available.

I visited the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington DC a little more than a year ago and saw some really creative ceramics with leather incorporated into the composition among related, sculptural works. Measuring 6.75 inches in diameter and 4 inches high, this wonderful, C1920, Ohio-made, yellow ware, spongeware batter bowl features fabulous blue sponging and is much more striking “in person” than the photos were able to capture.

The bowl sits on a 1/8" high footed base and has a lovely turned edge rim. It has glaze crazing typical of an 85+ year old piece of pottery as well as two, very tight hairlines approximately 1.50 inches in length...

Measuring 15.25 inches in diameter and 5.25 inches high, this magnificent and absolutely HUGE, C1920, Ohio-made, yellow ware, spongeware mixing bowl or water basin features fabulous blue sponging and is much more striking “in person” than the photos were able to capture.

The bowl sits on a 1/2” footed base and has a lovely turned edge rim. It has glaze crazing typical of an 85+ year old piece of pottery but no cracks, chips or hairlines...

Measuring 8.25 inches in diameter and 2.5 inches high, this gorgeous, Ohio-made, yellowware fruit bowl features fabulous, heavy blue sponging with gold gilt highlights along its decoratively embossed and scalloped rim.

This canary yellow Baden vase was made by Abingdon Pottery Artware between 1940-1948. It is 9" tall. It is in excellent condition.

This is a really great Antique Curio Five Finger Vase made by McCoy in 1962. This Vase has a white matte finish with grapes and leaves on the front side. It measures 8 1/4 inches high X 10 1/4 inches wide at the widest part. It is in very good condition with no cracks, but does have a 1/4 inch chip on the bottom back corner. Scheier Art pottery plate by Edwin and Mary Scheier in a mat mauve glaze with stylized decoration of two faces. Mint condition. Circa 1950. Size: 7 1/8 inches in diameter.
