Superb Murano glass figurines by Alfredo Barbini. A colleague in Venice who is a dealer in Vintage Murano Glass told me he witnessed these figurines being made at the Barbini factory in the 1950's. They are in good condition: the red coated Moor at 10" tall is in pristine condition and the white suited one at 13.5" has a repair at the rear neck area which is not so apparent...

This charming stylized snail by Livio Seguso, exemplifies the finesse of the Venetian Glass maestros' skills in interpreting their natural environment with hot glass. In the detail images the snail is shown with a shell form by Seguso from an earlier time: Seguso Vetri d'Arte, mid 1930's. This 11" x 9-1/8" bowl has nice light blue glass over white with cut paperweight style canes throughout; it has a great folded edge and it is unsigned. Modern floral expression using abstract floral murrines in a field of thin copper red vines and green opal leaves. This abstract imagery floats on a thick case of clear glass behind which is a gather of transparent copper blue glass with a heavy coating of aventurine. The thick clear layer gives the design an interesting depth. Measuring 2.5"dia. x 4.25"h, in excellent condition, unmarked.

This bowl is an excellent example of Murano glassblowers using the traditional technique of filigrana or latticino and applying this to a modern expression. The vessel walls are .5" - .75" thick, and the filigrana rods are imbedded in the thick walls of the form. Alternating rods contain aventurine. I have seen the exact same design with the Fratelli Toso blue foil label. Measuring 8" x 8" x 2.75"h. the bowl is in good condition, with expected wear on the base.

Believe it is a BAROVIER and TOSO piece, similar to the Pezzi Unici di Prova pieces, which is a series of experimental designs created by Ercole Barovier!!! Amazing Large Murano Cased GREEN and GOLD FLECKS Art Glass Flower Design Centerpiece Bowl!!! Attributed to Archimede SEGUSO!!! Similar to the "Macchie Ambra Verde" technique. The piece is very large at 11" across. It also has a generic label underneath that says "Made In Italy". It is profusely filled with gold leaf, an incredible piece. Has NO damage (chips, nicks, or fleabites)...

A beautiful Murano glass fish figurine, made most likely by Tyra Lundgren. The gold-fleck figurine has cobalt eyes and red eyelids. The figurine is 8 inches (20 cm) long, 8 inches high and 3 inches (7,5 cm) deep (fin-end to fin-end). It is in fine condition without chips, cracks or repairs. Unsigned.

This pieces sparkles! Designed by Ermanno Toso this cylindrical decanter is made with twisted pink canes and aventurine filigree. Matching stopper with clear glass flange and stem. Stopper does have burst bubble which occurred during manufacture. Decanter stands just over 18 inches (46 cm) Tall, and has no chips, cracks or repairs. Retains the blue and silver foil export label used by Fratelli Toso. Identical piece is shown in Leslie Pina's book Fratelli Toso, page 23. Excellent condition...

Extremely fine triple cased sommerso decanter attributed to Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d'Arte, circa 1950s. With a cranberry colored glass core cased inside a layer of vivid blue, cased again inside lavender. The effect of the three layers of colored glass is stupendous. This lovely decanter has a slightly flattened form and stands over 16.25" tall to the top of the stopper. In excellent condition.

Exquisite small bowl in Aqua Marine blue and iridescent glass, softly triangular with a swirl. Murano, 1950’s, probably by Alfredo Barbini. Width "4/ 10.5 cm, height "2 ½ / 6 cm. Condition: some wear (cf. pics).
