Sterling Silver modernist bowl by Alfredo Sciarrotta (Italian-American 1907-1985), in sleek biomorphic form on open work scrolled foot, signed on bottom. This superb rendition of a lovebirds pair resting on a crystal log surely is the work of Archimede Seguso. The colorization of the birds is achieved with fragments of blue and white opal filigrana cane, resulting in a merletto type effect which is largely Archimede Segusos signature technique. The birds' gestures, beaks, wings and tails are similar to birds depicted in Leslie Pinas' book on Archimede Seguso. The two ends of the log are nicely ground convex and polished...

Decanter is of simple form with applied features resembling that of a sad dog, pleading coyly with upturned eyes. The clear green glass body has opaque lines running down from the top of the neck of the bottle to just below the top of the dogs ears and eyes. Vintage sterling silver figural jigger in the form of a thimble. The rim is engraved "Just a thimblefull." These first became popular during the late Victorian era and remained so through the mid-20th century. This example is hallmarked by Towle.

For the Horse lover in your family, this paperweight features murrines with an internal image of a horse. A very unusual find! The horse murrines are surrounded by floral murrines and the whole is encased in clear glass. The piece measures 2 1/2 inches tall and is 3 inches across, there are no chips or cracks. Original blue and silver foil label that reads MURANO / Made / in / Italy / GLASS is intact on bottom of weight. Circa 1960

Green and yellow bearded dog figural decanter, hollow with hole for cork. Seguso made these decanters for Luxardo in the 1960's. Length/height of the decanter is 12 inches (30cm). Condition is very good with no chips, cracks or repairs. Unsigned, but with Luxardo liqueur labels, import labels. Please note: there is some "debris" inside the bottle as I did not wash it out for fear of destroying the labels.

This stylized interpretation of a waterbird illustrates the inspiration that the environment of the Venetian Lagoon has provided for centuries of artists. The waterbird sculpture is done in sommerso, with wine red blending masterfully into light cobalt blue. I have seen this design attributed to both Archimede Seguso and Alfredo Barbini. The waterbird is in good condition, no chips at the feet, polished base, unmarked.

Sumptuous in its expression of the sensual qualities of glass, this stylized sculpture of a figure in repose by Livio Seguso is signed and in excellent condition. The solid glass sculpture weighs 12.5 lbs, measures 6"w x 6"d x 8"h, and was well protected over the years by four felt pads at the corners.

A Modernist sterling silver graduated jigger by Tiffany marked off in half-ounce increments. The bottom is marked “Tiffany & Co./Makers/Sterling Silver/22714.”

This set of bar tools in Tiffany's classic "Bamboo" pattern includes a bottle/can opener, ice pick and fruit knife, all with gilt sterling silver handles. This is a wonderful design that looks as stylish today as it did in when conceived by the designer Van Day Truex in 1961.
